  1. I would like a camera fitted inside the car if I was to keep the car. I cant have anything at work at the moment. I'm actually thinking of something even cheaper than 10k now. Maybe around 3k as a runabout.
  2. Oh really? I haven't seen you yet then or you must be with another dentist. craigowl: Thank you.
  3. coullstar: One of my practices? Only 1, on Grt Western Road. Fishwick: That just might be him! Any advice on an in-car security camera?
  4. I'm trying to look into something that can be used from inside the car. Can't find a 360 degree camera though.
  5. Yes I am a dentist, but try narrowing it down from the 2000 patients on my list.
  6. I do anticipate future attacks, but with a Golf it won't bother me too much, not as much as something like a GTR. Which is why I am choosing the Golf for now. I will have to try and get something set up to catch them in the act though.
  7. The scratches to the car seem to be personal from the pattern of them happening. Today, whoever scratched the car, had to pass a Jag XJ ('61 model) to get to my GTR parked next to an A6, sratched my car and walked away, other cars untouched. The first time my car was scratched, it was the day I got it back from the dealers and I had a courtesy car whilst it was there. It was scratched the day I got it back, and the next day when the courtesy car was to be collected, the courtesy car got scratched just before it was due to be taken away. No other car on the premises got scratched. Makes me think it's personal. If it is personal, I'd rather get a Golf. For now anyway. I will be back though!!!!
  8. Sounds good, shall start my search, cheers.
  9. That's exactly how I feel mate, that I can't own anything nice. That looks about right for me MK1Campaign, just don't like red though. Thanks :) The Ed30s, are they only 3door? I was looking for a 5door...
  10. And they can be had for around 10k? This is the Mk5 Golf yeh?
  11. I want to absolutely torture the invidual(s), but sadly cannot. Until I can be in a position where I can keep an eye on it 24/7, it's better to get rid of it. What about anniversary editions of the Golf GTI? Anything special about them?
  12. As some of you may know, someone took my GTR badge and damaged the back of my car in the process. Very recently someone very kindly left 3 quite deep scratches along the drivers side, affecting all 3 panels, looked like they used a key and really made the effort. And today someone has left a very deep scratch on the passenger's door, quite a depth to it, too. So f*** it really, gonna get rid of it, and buy myself a Golf GTI, (unless someone can recommend otherwise). Any special editions or anything worth looking into, around the £10k mark? Anything to look for when buying one? Anything specific to avoid? Cheers.
  13. It's why even after 14months of being off the road, I still can't bring myself to get rid of my Corrado, it's mine, MINE!! I know I will never get another car that has all that I want in the way that my Corrado does.
  14. Just YouTube "ceramic knife", one guy basically rests the knife on a pepper and it slices it. However they are fairly brittle, but the kitchen is hardly heavy duty use anyway. I have watched lots of Samurai Sword Making Of videos on YouTube, very intriguing. That's how they make Damascus blades also. Except I think a lot more effort, sweat and art goes into a Samurai Sword. Funnily, the law from what I understand is that you are no longer (since 2008 ) allowed a blade (even at home) longer than 50cm except in the case of a Samurai IF it is handmade using traditional methods (for which obviously you would have a certificate proving it) but then those go into the thousands!!! I think the exception is if it has a straight blade then it can be over 50cm, but true Samurai Swords don't have a straight blade. My workmates are starting to get worried about me, every time they seem me now, I'm looking at some sort of knife....
  15. Nah I would never carry a knife with me, the only blade I carry is my Leatherman Squirt and that has a knife that's an inch and a half long but that's more a multi tool, a day hasn't gone by that I haven't used it, very useful indeed. Like FishWick said, more for the ornamental appeal, but it is a very strange addiction of mine.
  16. Ornamental appeal yes, but I can't really explain it I suppose...
  17. It is a weird interest, but I can't help it lol.
  18. Its funny cos I sharpened my mum's kitchen knives and she told me off saying how is she supposed to work with something that sharp. Currently I am just using a SOG Mini Sharpener, has a diamond section and a ceramic rod (and a firesteel but that's another pyro' story lol). I am looking at getting the Lansky sharpening system, it consistently works the edge a constant angle and has different stones so you get the best results http://www.heinnie.com/Accessories/Sharpeners/Lansky-Sharpening-Systems/Lansky-Lansky-Sharpening-Systems/p-93-370-214-420/ (Heinnie is incidently where I bought the knife from amongst many many many other things lol, service is second to none!!)
  19. 8vMatt Any pictures of the Smith and Wesson? Which leatherman do you have? I have the Leatherman Surge, Leather Charge TTi and the Leather Squirt S4 (which you don't get any more, crap really 'cos it's good!) fendervg Oh, I've heard about the Wusthofs! Any pictures? Specifications of blade material? What did you use to sharpen them (I mean like Japanese stones or something else)? 3corsameal Please do find a website, I'm curious now! Thanks.
  20. I have a thing for knives, the sharper the better! Fixed blade, folding knives, serrations, plain edge, show knives, hunting knives, damascus, I love em all!! I just ordered this for myself and really looking forward to it arriving; A Byrd Wings G10 Anyone else have any knives?
  21. This was my first expensive watch quite a while ago, don't wear it any more, don't really like it much now And this one is more recent, I don't think many of you will like it 'cos it's digital but I really took a liking to it I really do like watches but I just don't seem to wear them so I don't buy them as I probably would if I did wear them.
  22. Just for anyone wanting to go to Star Performance again, I would think twice. I had a very horrible experience with them when I went there in 2010, which would have suggested a very VERY amateur mistake, really dont trust them anymore and when I confronted the main guy about it, he didn't want to take any responsibility. Just be careful is all I want to say.
  23. I had already removed the Nissan badge, the only remaining badge was the GTR badge. Upon closer inspection there is some damage, obviously used a screwdriver!!!
  24. That is true. ---------- Post added at 10:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:27 AM ---------- Lol!
