he wanted to move on but didn't what to see someone else driving his car so he broke it and sold it that way.
-
Not as many haters as i thought. Personally like to see a wildly styled showcar now and again. Great to see some people aren't afraid to express themselves for fear of others opinions.
-
now that sasha's car is history i rate that one as top corrado show car. Prefered it in some of its early incarnations though.
-
But i can appreciate it for being just about the meanest looking C i've ever seen.
-
yes, thats the beauty of using the corrado recaro bases. You can just about bolt on any recaro that you like with no mucking about. Undo about 6 bolts to remove the seat, put the new seat on and put the same bolts back in. My subframes stand me for £100, just finding them thats the problem.
-
Thats how i did it too. Its the best way but in the UK Recaros are very rare and subframe alone are practically unheard of.

I've had FK on mine for 4 years and they've been brilliant. With my ride height and wheels with the dampers on near full hard the ride is pretty astonishing. Not as good as it was 40mm higher on the old 8x17's with 1/4 hard dampers but considering i'm really pleased. Got a lifetime warranty with mine too. Only thing i was unhappy with was the fact that the stainless body model came out a month after i fitted mine. I'm replacing them this year with either stainless FK's or KW, only because i'll be showing the car wheels off next year so need a brand spanking new set. Heard KW do a really good deal for showcars too through Recaro.

Do a search on E38, there was a thread recently about fitting porsche seats. Believe you can fit them with a universal subframe, corrado is usually a different kettle of fish tho' due to how low they sit. edit:- here it is http://edition38.com/board/viewtopic.ph ... ht=porsche

Having spent a month refurbing one, i'd say yes. The quality of the factory part is shocking. I took one look at it and rewelded the whole thing. They about £250-300 from the dealers but get a secondhand one and get it welded and powdercoated.

pretty sure i'm going to try and source a rallye intercooler and get it re-cored so i can get a proper factory fit. So if anyones got a complete (damaged even better) Rallye intercooler drop me a PM.

Me? Seen it on ebay. Its is pretty clever but i'm definately going FMIC. So far not found the right product which is frustrating. There either silly money or look like too DIY for me or both.
-
make sure they take off the doors, bonnet, tailgate and remove the glass. Only a couple of extra hours work but you get a much better result.
-
MJ doesn't make them. Its a supplier thats approached him. Basically i send my seats to them and they return them rebuild with belts fitted.
-
when it happened to me i melted the plastic bush slightly with a lighter and pushed it back on. Trouble free ever since.
-
There are places that can make custom belts? With your choice of color? Yes, MJ got some samples in the post. Going for biscuit coloured to match the trim.

Looks stunning as always, really like the way the brakes fill the front wheel. You've got to go 35series sidewalls on your next set of rims though. 205/40 are looking very big these days.
-
good luck with its a big ask. If its a factory carpet, dead easy you won't any problems. If its custom made show quality one like mine it will take days to do even for a pro.
-
a set sold on UK ebay this morning for £80. gutted i missed them by 10mins.
-
two wires to each seat. dead easy. Don't really even need to do that, connect them to a battery charger get them in to the right position and thats it. Not touched mine since i put them in.
-
Hardwired them, going to fit the full factory loom and heated elements as soon as i find some for a reasonable amount.
-
thought it maybe something like that. Personally, could live with that. I'll figure something out.
-
anyone know of a company that can rebuild (properly!!) steering racks?
-
just the man, can you help with this? http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight= car looks great cleaned and finished. Last pics i saw it was in your garage with no engine.

I'd say M3 or smoked.
