Problem solved, pic?
-
Can you mount a CD change upside down? i.e the magazine drops out of the bottom. Then i could mount it in the cavity where the glovebox used to be and cut a hole in the underdash shelf for the mag to drop out of.

Think you'd be best swapping the whole dash. The dials are larger than C dials and sit in a large pod on top of the dash. Nothings impossible but reckon boxster dash would be a piece of pi55 to swop over.[/quote:27a37]is that a hint of something to come there lee 8)[/quote:27a37] No, dash transplant wouldn't be inkeeping with my cars theme. Its hard to describe but i think my C's has a certain "rightness" about it considering how heavily its modified and the porsche dash wouldn't suit.

Blue's the wrong colour tho' . Gotta be red or yellow.

Jason Buckley, they are perfect too. Sooo much better than the crap VW fit. Beyond me why Audi can get it right and VW still insist on fitting rubbish pull handles.
-
thought about that, its not as deep as you think. May have to have a new armrest made.

I'm starting to like wire wheels....alot :)

my boot is completely filled with sub's, amps, caps and power distribution so no room for the CD changer. I've got no glovebox, where the hell do i put the Alpine 6disc? Ideas?

Are the light pipes the same? -
Hmm, same as a fog light switch. My car has always had an early model switch, about time it was replaced.

One cause is cracked optics.... The centre ring will always illuminate because the bulb is attached to it, but the outer two rings won't if someone has been heavy handed with the panel and severed the light path with a crack. Guess i'd be better converting it to three LED's. -
I need to replace mine, any idea of the cost of a new one from VW? Do GPC sell them cheaper? TIA

Anyone figured out the problem of only the centre dial illuminating? -
don't know, i got mine secondhand. Bet there not cheap.

I got a discount on mine from recaro as they were change the cloth design. Think the going rate is £375 each + Vat. Then £600ish to trim them and you need to buy some factory Corrado recaros, bin the seats and use the subframes. You could possibly modify the std corrado subframes by narrowing them by 2" but its a hell of a job. Personally i felt it was worth the effort and expense as the fit is factory and the shape of the seats matches the rear seats. There fantastic to sit in too, mine also have custom centres but thats my secret

Good choice,

Mines not finished. Had considered holding back a bit, but after just being pipped by Sasha at Edition38.....

There's no way i'm going to add it all up. I'd be spending quality time in a padded cell if the cost became common knowledge. I've done as much as i can myself which saves lots and the fact the car's well known help when haggling.

Heres one of mine, got to say the ones in Rabbit are pretty good too. Still hard to believe its actually my car!

If you look in the members gallery in my folder page 21, i've posted 2 pictures of my new filter next to the standard one. Its made from the same material as the original and even textured!! I've also matched it to a red LED by screen printing in translucent red. Just got to fit it now but should be perfect colour and fit. Twist my arm and i may make you one

Sorry, just had to show you my power cap. Its got my favourite finish and its says Voodoo on it too. Perfect.

I'd bin them, i'd guess there bonded on so paint may be needed. If so loose the rubbing strips before the bodyshop as they will just spray up to them rather than blending the new paint in.

I'll second that, had a really good look at Inters while trying to decide between inpro and FK rear lights. Cracking paint work and i'm very fussy when it comes to paint!
