Any ideas on uprating the rear brakes? I know it won't make much difference, blah, blah, blah. I want to do it because. Thinking, drilled std discs or maybe TT/R32 vented and drilled discs and calipers? what do you think, any better ideas.

£7 each in gold from maplins. Yeah, been there, picking out the wax with my finger nails. hell of a job, i retaped my whole loom then covered in the ribbed plastic shroud stuff you get from demon tweeks allowing me to put several cables into one shroud reducing the mess around the driver side turret. -

Think there £7 +vat, trimsport do a stainless one for £10 Nice work, thought it was just me mad enough to work on the C on the drive in the rain. -
Think Jason had to cut my qtr panel to get the arches out too. your on the right track

That no problem as far as i'm concerned. Hope you kicked his a55!

Not got around to it yet, looking at the light guide on the back of the plastic panel i'm think about try to bond a surface mount led to them maybe with a pot to get the illumination right. Back at work now so my pi55ing around time has be reduced. Its easy to get the centre dial red. Remove the green light guide, stick a red filter behind the panel and attach to the dash minus the green bit.

Pic for Boosted (russell) Heres a pic of my inlet manifold. Its polished everywhere and all the casting ridges have been removed and i've shaped it at the throttlebody (TB) so it mates perfectly to the TB. I then made a plug cover and welded on stud bar so i could bolt it through the plug holes in the manifold. Took about an 30-40hrs it total as i did it by hand as its easy to take to much off with machines. Once done i had it chromed.

really nice. I'm a massive fan of red C's. I'll have to chat to you about your HID convertion.

Love it, and welcome.

Silver one is really nice. Front end needs a bit more work but from the rear 3/4 its stunning. OSV should add those wheels to his collection. Nice enginebay too, carbon looks mint in a silver enginebay,

Thought using mk2 wishbones would be a good idea. Makes room for bigger rims and/or more brake clearance. Think i'll be spacing out the front wheel to clear the new brakes -
I bet that went down like a lead balloon, I the guy out of hospital yet? He saw the funny side. Still funny now

Please!

I've got 9.5x17 on the back with a 30mm offset and 1.5" pulled arches. The wheel rims sit really close the the coilover. You really need to build the car around the wheels if you going to do this.

Need nearer to 30mm offset on the rear. And wide arches.
-
Should be easy to get secondhand parts. They have an easy life so should be mint.
-
I'll reveal more once i know they'll fit. Brakes are tricky.

Ordered new brakes today. What else do i need to improve while i'm at it. Got braided hoses. Ordered Ferodo fast road pads. Bigger master cylinder? Suggestions? Dot 5 fluid? or is there something better?

Didn't notice this reply. Autoglym is a polish not a wax and offers little protection for your paint. If you have a red C you will notice the polishing cloth will be red after use. This is not good if you polish it regularly. Autoglym has its place, i use it myself but only for prep at the beginning of a season (ie. once a year) and thats it, wax from there on. I don't rate buffers either. Your car should aways be polished in straight lines so you don't get swirl marks.
