  1. Yep got photoshop'd pics but i'd spoil the surprise. One of the mods is pretty wild and it will get slated to start with then you'll come around to liking it. I know cos' i hated it first time i saw this mod an now l think is awesome.

  3. As you know my cars being resprayed next week, just contemplating whether to have an aero filler cap fitted. Thoughts and opinions please :?: . The styling will be ultra smooth which it worth bearing in mind.

    Steam!!

    Not going to well so far with bypassing the matrix. Can't get the hose clips off!!. I guess there a special tool for removing them, any ideas where i get one?
  5. I'll have another spare as soon as my engine in built up. Probably be selling the whole assembly polished.
  6. :D My car is going for its respray next saturday. Been a long time coming, and a last minute switch of bodyshops but the results should be amazing. Watch this space.

    You'll need to bypass the matrix before driving it as it's in circuit permanently, otherwise you'll end up flooding the interior. How do i do that? TIA
  9. Bit of useful info for you, 215/35/17 will become 230mm wide on an 8.5" rim.

    That what i thought, has anyone replaced one if thats the case, how much? Luckily i'm changing my dash anyway so i'll replace it then. So if i leave the knob on cold air and the fan turn off is the car OK to drive?

    Just taken the C for a run and got a scare at 70 mph when the dash vents start blowing steam!! Engine's fine, no blown hoses. Whats Happened?!?!?

  13. the bumper stinks...and it's brown, and the mirros look all droopy. Think his car is good enough to get away with brown paint. Wouldn't disagree it would look better in another colour tho'.Personally i love 993 mirrors on a C. The trick is doing them properly with genuine parts as the DSP replica ones have bases which finish half way down the door and spoil the whole look.

    I'm currently making some R32 style dials for my C. Artwork should be done by tomorrow so i'll post a pic. I'm going to have them professionally screen printed on the reverse side of 200mic PVC/RA for a better than factory finish.
  16. anyway from what i've heard from people who have fitted them into mk2 golfs the best thing is to use early mk4 clocks (why?) thanks bobby The ECU works in conjuction with the instrument panel as far as i am aware.
  17. Not sure. The 24V has no extra cams, 1 less chain and smaller valves......the biggest weight differences will come from the variable intake and valve timing equipment and the bigger inlet manifold. All speculation as I've never weighed and engine! K The inlet is plastic on the 24v motor, so it could be lighter than a VR. Interestingly, the 24v conversions i've seen feature a custom made inlet manifold. I guess because the engine is too tall to clear the bonnet.

  19. I'm thinking about buying new front wishbones, has anyone on the forum replaced theirs and able to help with these questions? How much for brand new ones? Wheres the cheapest place for OEM wishbones? Are they available separately? Can you buy them without bushes? (got powerflex) cheers
