The manual says the same as the handbook. Seperate fuses (located above the relays) Fuse for power windows 20 Amps I looked above the relays and found no fuses. The picture in the manual does not help.

I think that is the relays> I was looking behind them. Hold on I have a huge manual I bought off eBay here. Will look in there. Its the size of 2 yellow pages so I amy be a while!

LOL I tried that also. On the subject of fuses my lecy windows failed the other week. Pulled out the owners handbook and it said the fuse was behind the relays on the main fuse box. I gave up looking after 10 mins. Am I missing something? Ended up flicking my fag dog ends out the sunroof (after pressing the sunroof button 30 times to open it 10 cms)

this sounds related to my prob. My rad sprung a leak a couple of months back. When the engine got hot enough to produce a load of steam the light would come on. After the rad was changed the light has been on all the time except if it goes on a long run (+50 miles). When I 1st got the car I jet washed the engine bay and had the same problem. I solved it with a squirt of WD40. I have tried the same this time but to no avail. Sounds like a damp problem. Could anyone confirm that this could be the cause of my problem & if so what has been damaged. Is it a relay or something more serious? I tested the ABS by an emergency stop at 30mph. Lovely black skid & loads of smoke so the ABS is defo out.

Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive February 06]
daytona600 replied to mistrall's topic in General Car Chat
a few weeks ago, what are the chances of this. A14 from Stowmarket. Just as I joined the M6 from the slip a black g60 was in the outside lane. needless to say I snuck in behind and we both stuck to the ton limit all the way to the M42. I am not sure the other guy appreciated it. in fact he looked a bit worried when I waved goodbye :-) & last week as I parked my VR6 in the Co-Op car park in Stowmarket another red Corrado was pulling out. A knowing nod to each other. I am never sure wether to aknowledge another rado. I usually do as I am used to it when on my bike. Any bikers out there will know how annoying it is when you nod another bike and they totally blank you! -
Hi, I looked through some other posts and found the answer thanks. Just wish I had looked on here before even thinking about doing the work. I also was able to locate a cheaper rad (£109), in stock from just down the road thanks to this forum! Now I need to find out why "my mate" had such trouble finding a rad and then telling me the cheapest he could get was £150 I am thinking of investing £80 on a factory manual thats on eBay. Has anyone bought one of these? Are they worth it? A big book that weighs approx 2kg

Hi all I need some help with this one. Trying to replace the rad on my VR6. Me & my mate had a hell of a job trying to remove the fans and rad as we could not figure out how to remove the slam panel. We eventually got them out by removing the battery but there is next to no chance of getting the new rad in this way without damage. So, how to remove the slame panel? We got all the bolts out & the headlights but it looks as though there are 2 bolts each side just above the top of the bumper, under the headlights. I get the feeling that we are getting this all wrong. What is the correct proceedure for removing the rad as we will end up taking most of the front end of at this rate! To make matters worse the replacement has a smaller bore on the pipe that joins the bottom hose so we need to take it back. The rad we got looks identical apart from this and some clips top & bottom which will make the re-fitting of the fans imposible. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I no longer have a drivable motor and knowing my mate I wont be getting it back this side of the summer. :(

Hi all, can someone tell me where the ECU is & what it looks like on my Corrado VR6 '93 I have bought an Advanced Mororpsport chip from eBay. I need to know if it is simply a matter of pluging in or is the old chip soldered in? Of course my main problem is locating the ECU

ok, I will try 32. Thanks.

hmm, I am a bit anal about pressures. I like to have the exact rec pressure. Comes from riding a bike. Cheers anyway.

My Rado VR6 runs on 17" Wolfrace alloys with Nankang Ultra Sport NSII 205/40R17 84v (Traction A Temp A) Tyres When I bought it I forgot to ask the owner the tyre pressures, can anyone help please. Ta

Try this... Locate the ABS pump, near bulkhead & spray it with a good dash of WD40 Worked for me. I had degreased the engine bay & I think water may have gon it the sensor/electrics. The light would sometimes come on after moving, sometimes not. Any how, its all ok since the WD40.

Changed my Audi A4 1.9 TD SE for a Vectra 1.8 as the wife & kids started to use it to much & spoil it. With the huge wad I saved I got myself a lovely Rado VR6 with only 83k on the clock for £3.5k. Never looked back, I tested a new 2.5 Quatro & my Rado beats it as a drivers car, whilst saving about £22k!!! :D

Hmmm, I have had an intermitant ABS light on prob for a couple of weeks. Ever since I jet washed the engine and sprayed a ton of Gunk degreasant all over it. Please tell me it could be water getting into the electrix. I cant afford ££££'s for something I dont use. ABS is for girls any how. If you get into a dodgy skid situation just pretend your brake pedal is that Crazy Frog. Stamp, release. Stamp, release 50 times a second!

I was going to say original but try this. Hold yer hand over each side in turn. Def Tinted is best.

A friend was admiring my 93 VR6 that I bought on Sunday but suggested it would both look & handle better if it was lowered by 30mm Has anyone any experiance of this? How much, whats involved does it work? Cheers Nick

Thanks Ady, you answered my reply. I didn't buy the car for economy so what the hell.
-
Thanks Jim, will it run smoother, be faster? Is it worth the extra cost? Sorry, so many questions (newbie)

Hi all. Just joined the forum after picking up my VR6 on Sunday. Always wanted one! I am concerned that I may have filled up with the wrong petrol. I filled her up with regular unleaded. Should I be using the higher octane (more expensive) flavour? If so could I have caused damage to the engine? Ta
