Need help sourcing some 115mm x m8 alternator bolts if anyone is able to help?
Cheers

I wouldn't mind if it was permanent if it's a god reliable install 🏻

I'm interested to find out whether you like it too. Superchargers seem to have really fallen out of favour since the turbo craze kicked off but they still kind of appeal to meI was racing at the weekend and my mate had installed a V9 into his strip car, once tension on his belt was tweaked it was a beast!
Terminal of 107mph over the line (almost VW pro speed!) sounded great.
I know turbo is the done thing, but I'd only ever consider a stealth kit and that's big money! I've driven supercharged VR's before and it was good! Pretty sure though if I drove a turbo VR6 id be instantly hooked

Was too drunk at the weekend to do anything lol! Sump has gone get AN welded in and I've made up the template for the spacer plate. Just need tidy it up a bit then can get it cut.

Also got spacers for alternator pulley sorted.

Intake has gone off to be made in stainless as well so progress being made.

No Corrado related things, but good weekend of racing.

Question - what diameter is your AN fitting in the sump?
-
Good info. Cheers mate. Looking forward to the pics
-
Awesome. Question - did you push through the AN fitting from the inside and weld both sides or weld it on from the outside? Do you have any measurements on how far you inserted the fitting?
-
Yeah we had a few :)
Very good turnout for VR6OC.

Pete, this probably won't be identical for you as my kit is a V9 setup however it was originally intended for a Mk3 Golf and consequently to my surprise required a few unexpected tweaks.1) 90 degree charger oil outlet fitting (supplied with a 45 that fouled the chassis leg)
2) Replacement PCV adapter fitting as for some reason this didn't fit the Corrado setup.
3) Spacer shim (2mm) for charger mounting bracket to line charger pulley up with rest of belt line (not supplied with kit to me - but is by VF)
4) Shortened charger mount bolt to allow easier fitment with all components in place (kit came with some hacked down nasty item)
Things I remade or re-manufactured as I wasn't happy with the used VF items.
1) Filter housing to charger oil line - supplied line didn't fill me with confidence so remade one from some uprated fittings and oil line.
2) Return oil feed line - not supplied with kit i bought - replaced with marine grade.
3) AN fitting welded on to old sump - removes the need for "tapping" the sump which give the thickness of a VR sump I think is a bit of a bodge anyway.
4) Air filter - supplied item was too long when tucked down in the bumper - (dependent as to where you locate your MAF)
That's all that come to mind for now but be prepared for some home brew / engineering as the original 'bolt-on' kit for me left a lot to be desired.
Hi mate, Will take a look at the lines, I have all new braided lines, connectors, return lines etc... etc... Will be welding the AN fitting as it will only leak anyway! :) but not sure if I will have same issues as V9, will have to check where the lines come out of the unit.
Looking for an air filter now, I need to fit my MAF at least 18" away from charger (or so I am told!) so will see how I can position this all in the wing!!
Interested in more information in relation to ; 2) Replacement PCV adapter fitting as for some reason this didn't fit the Corrado setup.
cheers

Yea I think his needs new bearings also - hence priced so cheaply.
The jigsaw is coming together now, Dropped off the spool at the polishers today, and also I have had the missing idler pulley spacers fabricated up.
Only need to order some 115mm alternator bolts and fabricate a spacer plate up for the mount, find a sump I can tap and weld into position and I am good to start the install.

Was this Bennys of VR6OC Pete? Really interested in how you get on with this.Soz can't help with your actual enquiry
Hi mate. Not wasn't. That kit was a V9F
This is a V1 and was recently fully rebuilt with new bearings, it's an older kit but still produces the goods and the best bit, I've only paid 700 quid for it
-
Picked up a Vortech V1 charger at a ridiculously cheap price that was fitted to an OBD2 Golf VR6.
Luckily already upgraded my corrado to obd2 and also the kit comes with a dual idler to reduce belt slippage and updated injectors etc...
My question is in relation to the pipe work and if anyone has fitted a kit from a mk3 golf onto a corrado - is it a straight fit? Things a bit tighter or do I need to fabricate?
Also what air filter and MAF location options are available.
Thanks
Pete
