    Screw sizes

Hi guys.. I've got a buch of screws that need replacing on the C (rounded off / rusted) mostly on the front end.. I assume they are standard sizes, but not sure what size they are so I can get some from a hardware store... The ones I am after are the ones that hold in the foglights and also the ones that hold in the headlights (on the top).. cheers pete
  5. I mate. I got lucky on here! They do come up now and then. Went to fit it today but the grommet things don't seem to hold them in, I presume that they should be flexible to grip them? The ones In my corrado seem very hard and looks like previous badge was glued in!
  6. Ahh I see :) if you could remove the electrical unit I'll have these off you mate if that's ok?
  7. its come up really well compared to how it was when I bought it! chuffed... doesn't make the rust as noticeable now, but i can now get away without needing a full respray I think. just need to tidy bits up. and get some new roof mouldings :)
  8. how come i need to wait for moderator approval before my update to my build thread is visible?
  9. Ok, thought I'd do a bit of an update. i've been busy with work, and ill kids! so only just getting time now! Well we cracked on the other Saturday, myself, tony, John and Jason (thanks guys!) so first, we got the new brake line in, made up from original green steel for that factory look, and went ahead with the goodridge hose fitting :) also got a new rear VW badge :) also fitted new crank pulley... under drive OBX jobby. so put most of the dash back in, and replaced oil cooler seals as they were shot and leaking... replaced bonnet cable.... and did some electrical repairs on the fog light wiring. got the car on all 4's but ran into problems with the front wheels so decided to put the standard alloys on for now! discovered that it was rather low! unfortunately, the rear brake lines had seen better days! so i've got my man to make me up some more new ones in green steel. also had a problem with the demister bowden cable being ragged so need to order a new one! (only £9 + VAT) then I can get the heater controls back in.... also fitted a new heater motor while we were at it! Today, I had a mate around with his orbital polisher thingy! gave it a good wash off, 2 years worth of crud! masked up some bits and bobs; here's some before shots: some after shots: Well thats it for now.... will post more updates when I have them... finishing off with the bodywork tomorrow.... and waiting on other parts before i can continue and get it in for an MOT!

  16. Hi all. I cant get on VAG-CAT from where I am at currently, looking for the things that hold in the foglight bulbs on the back of the casing? unsure what should be there as mine is missing, so just have a couple of wires lurking there lol a diagram + part numbers would be ideal. thanks.
  17. Looks good, i'll check mine tomorrow and let you know mate... Whats the bit on the last attachment on the left side of the light as shown on the photo with the brown bit on? I dont re-call seeing this on my current head lights?

  20. I ran vr6oc.com off a dedicated box in London, just over £1,000 a year as it grew beyond shared hosting, I've now moved the site to a business account in the USA for a fraction of what I used to pay! I'm fairly proficient with PHP and SQL databases in general so made a lot if optimisations over the last 7 years I've been running the club. I also offer members a paid membership which has been very successful over the last 4 - 5 years which allows us to grow. If you want a chat about anything in that area drop me a message :)
  21. Hey buddy. Fitted front brake line, it was spot on... But I am after the following lines; They are from the rear, whoever made them up should be shot! When removing the hoses from them the unions just twist the pipe! Cheers. Pete
