  1. Hi all! Just about to start off on my Corrado rebuild! The sound deadening foam on the inside of the bonnet is totally shot - It just falls to bits to the touch - whats the best way forward with this? Is is easy enough to remove totally - ideally I want to keep the OEM look so wondering about replacement foam? Thanks. Pete

  4. yup, nothing to do down there, i've had a kip in the waiting room before now :) going to the Total garage on the corner is normally the most exciting thing, then all thats overtaken when you drive your VR6 home!!!

  7. Can only but try lol - I'd assume herisites ran coilovers on his corrado to get it slammed that low? Will have to get playing once I get permission of the missus lol - still need do jobs around the house before I can play! Pete

  10. Hi Ben, Rear badges - naimly the chrome rear boot VW badge, is that discontinued now, or will ones from a mk2 golf fit ? they appear to be overly inflated on ebay due to them being *rare* so was just wondering if a mk2 VW one would fit? Pete

  13. Still got a fair few bits to get yet before I can crack on with the mechanical stuff. Need my Samcos, Schimmel flywheel, hubs, oil, coolant, coilpack and a battery. Think I've got everything else I need now :) I like the wheels, should look quite nice once lowered etc... Pete
  14. just picked up a non-runner VR for 1.2k need to do timing chains, matrix and head gasket, give it a good clean up and boom, sexy ass corrado ;) Pete

  16. The Corrado came last night! Needs a bit of work, well quite a bit really, but means I can strip it down, and replace anything thats needed. Got a massive pile of parts now, awaiting further bits this weekend :) including an OBD2 conversion :) watch this space.
  17. came at the right price Kev, you saw what I did to the mk2 golf, that turned into something special in a short amount of time, and I intend to follow the same route :) A good polish, and de-swirling the bodywork should make it 100x better. forgot to mention, the six branch i've got lined up in ceramic coated.     its a proper project car, been standing for 3 months, currently a non-runner. needs a bit of bodywork doing, timing chains, h/g, matrix etc.. its got all the bits with it to do the above its black Brock B2's coilovers looks like I'll be having lots of fun in the garage over winter to restore it to its former glory....   24. hey guys, well, I've now done a deal on a Corrado - needs some work, but i'm game for a laugh. shopping for ARP head studs on eBay. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=VR6+ ... 86.c0.m301 Are they the same across the Golf and Corrado? I'd assume so, but would just like to check. or unless anyone know's of any cheaper sets going of course :) Pete
