since i got my C 5 months ago the tick over and pinking has slowly got worse. today on the way home from preston was sat in traffic with the idle bouncing between 1000 - 1100 revs quickly. then when i was driving it kept jerking, when i was taking my foot off the accelerator the car just jerked to a halt. also the pinking has got really bad now and i dont know what it could be ran vag com on it today and it picked up airflow meter?? could this be the problem?? and lastly does any body have pics of the knock sensor so i can chewck that? cheers in advance Edit: Hope you don't mind me making your title a little clearer. cheers for the info my cat was sabotaged by previous owner and the probe was in the wrong place it had been welded in. some body i know said he could make me one so might just do it

just wanted to know if having a decat pipe will make a difference its a 2.0 16v. what happens with the lambda probe if you have i decat pipe fitted??

was your amp already in and you just changed the cd player? if not try running your power lead down the right hand side of the car and the other two leads RCA and remote down the left otherwise it picks up interference

my car is pinking quite badly had new lambda sensor and temp sender so i have just removed spark plugs to see if they are the right ones. they are champion ones grade 8. is this ok for a 2.0 16v? also where are the knock sensors on ther 16v anybody have any pics?? cheers

mine shows 50 - 60 most of the time must be something wrong

it was put on charge yesterday while at home all day but didnt help

well its going to auto electricians tomorrow see what the diagnosis is then

my car wouldnt start last week checked battery and it was dead so got a new one. the car now wont start again :( there is defo something draining it. could my amp be not turning off through the stereo and draining the battery. took it off today and the battery charger said "charging essential" any ideas??

i was having same problems it was the battery cold weather exposed it get that checked

my car wont start have exactly the same symptoms. the fuel pump buzzes on mine but it wont start. need to check battery properly i think

cheers i will do tried to jump it on sunday but it didnt do a thing. there is an immobiliser but it didnt come with the key so have never used it. il try batt tomorrow
