    i think its 19mm im doing this soon as well. i had one lying around.

    no its fairly easy remove the air hoses connected then its just 4 alan key bolts and an electrical connector takes 15 - 20 mins. I worked out that mine was sticking due the to dirt and not closing properly i used some fine sand paper to clean the inside of it but it defo worked for me its amazing how much crap there was. My car has done 106000 so can imagine yours being quite bad at your mileage.

    just a thought jim ive had problems since i bought my car over a year ago. My idle used to stick at 2000 - 3000 revs tried a new isv didnt work and all the other suggested ideas. I finally took off the throttle body about 6 weeks ago and cleaned it out completely and gave it a good soaking in some carb cleaner over a couple of nights, i also gave it a dose of wd40 and put it back on my idle has been perfect since. Might be worth a try

    I drove 25 miles home from work last night and my water temp got no higher than 72 on the clocks and the oil kept at 92 on the mfa. this was a 50 minute trip stuck in traffic. It usually sits at 90 water and about 104 oil. Any ideas?

    jslootweg mine does exactly the same slowly rises to about 68 mpg and doesnt go down. not solved it yet would be interested to know how

    i took my throttle body off last week to clean it out. After i have put it back on to the car it wont idle properly. when i stop at a junction or lights it idles at 1000rpm for 10 seconds then drops down to 500 and cuts out sometimes. Also when braking to stop and turn it is dying intermittently. Could the throttle switch be at fault? where is this located? Any advice needed so i can sort it for ed 38

    What is the bes way to clean the throttle body and is it worth replacing the throttle switch while its off. Also how do i go about porting and polishing, using counter sunk screws etc? any advice appreciated

    ive been having trouble with insurance and alarms ive taken out 3 policys in the last month ended up cancelling 2 and getting full refunds. spoke to HIC they we fine with my alarm & immobiliser. didnt have to send proof either

    i have had the exhaust messed with a few times but it happens again and again, thought that as a cheap fix wrapping the axle would take the vibration, hence stop the rattle.

    i am experiencing something similar, when its really hot ie. 30° it takes a few turns before the starter turns over. only doing it when hot though

    my exhaust rests on my axle and rattles. i am going to wrap the axle with some sort of padded heat wrap, but can only find it in 5 metres or longer rolls. where can i get a smaller piece? cheers

    yeh i think they could be too tight definatley better now though

    they are between cylinders 1&2 and 3&4. just need a 13mm socket they are easy enough to get to

    well tonight i have removed both knock sensors given them a clean put them back on,but not reconnected them to see if it pinks with out them connected. And guess what? it didnt pink and the mpg on the mfa was behaving more like it should. this is telling me that the engine is in fact set up correctly, but the knock sensors were too tight & sensitive causing my timing to retard causing the pinking in the fist place.

    i have had it run on mine RW1 did it but it picked up engine codes as well as abs.
