  1. It's very likely the clips broke last time it was removed so yeah i'm guessing they stuck the whole lot down, not impossible to do to remove them with care though. Although they'll prob just whack em off and break em :( Much as i like fresh new paint and all i hate body shops really, they are a bloody nightmare to deal with even when you get a good one you have to watch every move  Buggers! Hope you get it sorted.
  2. Oooomph! :) Very Nice mate, hope all is good on further inspection. I hate body shops with a vengence! You just have to be on at them all the fecking time Grrr!
  3. Fay, as well as the clips they did put a blob of mastic on them too for extra security so if you can gently prise them off you should be able to re-use them, i think the clips and little grommets for the clips are still available too.

Pete I have one i'd reluctantly sell but it isn't mint, i'd be honest and consider it very good with some wear on some letters but i really dont wanna sell it but £30 buys it. I know it's a lot but they are pretty hard to come by with 4 pegs and in decent shape. No obligation of course.
  9. that for the weekend mate? Ouch haven't looked yet, think it was £12.00 for the day last year but cant remember. Same as this year so not bad, i think £35 is a lot though for a weekend, surely it ought to be slightly cheaper for going for more than one day. I'd say £25 is easily enough. Phil why is it so much to camp?? This is the reason i've binned going to BVF this year, not paying £30 for one night's camping for what was a ****e show last year and with £ 80 fuel costs was not worth it. I do think VW Festival is a bloody fantastic event though. :)

Absolutely no idea what this is about as Jude was in bristol for a couple of days and is now driving home. I like Jon's reply best though
  11. Jon, yes mate i used Halfords Brake Caliper paint, not cheap but think it's a bit more durable than normal paint, i think i'm happy with the finish but dont overdo it as it looks too glossy otherwise. James, Superclass is basically everyone who won last year, so a good mix of all sorts, there's a winner for best water cooled and one for air cooled and then there's an FA Cup MaHooooosive Trophy for overall winner ( I wish :( )
  12. Well with Stanford Hall Just a matter of days away now and being in the superclass this year i thought i'd better do a little tidying up, I really was hoping to have done the much needed thorough underneath refurb but the cycling accident put an end to that :( So it'll have to make do with a short term solution, cue a bit of Foilatec caliper paint and a little high temp paint on the discs to smarten them up. as well as a different cam cover freshly spruced up.
  13. Fair do's on price then, yeah the VR has been longing for underneath doing so cant wait to get started. It's fairly tidy as been sprayed with plastikote paint since it was 3 years old so no major issues other than surface corrosion and a decent blast and paint.

    Lol! What's she doing??
  15. Ah Gutted for you mate Ali is unquestionably liable, you cant pull out of junction into the path of a car and get away with that one. To me it's as cut & dried as being run into the back of whilst driving a yellow car which is sat stationary at a roundabout :( Keep on at Highway but i'm sure they are dealing with it, it seems there's not many good words for Chris Knott these days to be fair. Good Luck with it. Kip
  16. I bought some brand new standard Corrado wipers last year (yeah i know what you're thinking) but they are perfect even at high speed, i guess the springs get weaker with age, then are just as good as the lupo ones on my 8v i use rain x too so that will probably help.
  17. Ah Bugger, think we'll be busy getting ready for Stanford hall so wont make it now, things needed to do to both the Nugget and the VR which is currently on Axle stands in the garage
  18. Ah Cheers for the heads up on price increase, I use a TPS but if prices are going up be better to get them ordered.
  19. Looking like good steady progress mate, will be doing the same to my VR underneath very soon. Long overdue but funds have now come into play at last :) Just a massive shame it wont be before Stanford Hall. How much to get that little lot done then?
  20. Cheers Rob, I actually replaced the wishbones about 6 years ago and coated them heavily with PlastiKote paint so there's no rust on them at all so a refresh of paint and new bushes will be a bit cheaper too :)
  21. Thanks Fella's I have it Jon, just cant bloody work it  PC's are not my forte i'm afraid. Must try harder, a bit like my school reports :)
