Well very good progress today with much help from my best mate Rich (RichiepBay) been putting a few bits on ecently while i'm off work and cleaning as i went along but couldn't really do much due to my broken collar bone so as rich was off work too I gave hime a little project :lol Got the bumper iron fitted before he came which was done in the conservatory (as you do) and had already stripped the headlights down for a refurb earlier in the week so they were all ready to go on too. Then it was fit the horns that i'd painted up then the bumper and lights etc before fitting the wipers and the rear bumper too. Then Philmo arrived for a look and the usual brew :) Also did a good check round all works before the MOT next Wed's fingers crossed :) Once it's tested I will go back to the body shop for some corrections and issues that need sorting, nothing drastic but they said once i put it all back together and see anything i dont like bring it back, well got a list as long as my arm so hope they play ball. Jude kindly went to the petrol station with the Jerry can to get 5 litres of V Power too to top it up, bet she had a few funny looks  Oooops, pics are wrong way round but you get the idea lol! Thanks Rich.

No Mate it sounds like something that uses air to compress the valves to enable you to replace the sten seals. I think it was done by the guys at frost auto restoration. Seems like good value for the head though mate.

Ooohh Really, maybe i'm thinking it does but it doesn't! I know when i've driven in my VR and then stopped it starts to go down but I alwasys thought it registered when started from cold in the garage once it's up to temperature?? I wont be able to bloody sleep tonight now :lol! ---------- Post added at 7:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:57 PM ---------- Will have a fiddle tomorrow and let you know! Thanks fellas x

Neil, i'll take the door mouldings please, how you want paying? Is it the long ones that go on the outside of the door itself that some people remove? Checked the numbers on my etka and it's diferent but it's probably my mistake :/ -
Cheers matey, i'll look tomorrow as i'm fairly sure it could have popped off while tinkering, last time it was driven the readings were eratic and then zero then came back on again, bit strange.
-
Na they show mpg when stationary too!
-
As the title says, been putting the Nugget back together and had it running and all seems good apart from the MPG showing zero, any ideas on this please? The clocks were removed a while ago so maybe something i've disturbed, plus i had the airbox out to change the pipe to the rear of the airbox as that was damaged. All the othe functions seem ok but i haven't driven it anywhere yet as not got tax or mot. Thanks!

I just like to see a bit of silver on wheels as it makes them stand out more and a good clean silver set always make the car look fresh. I know I know i'm strange

A pal of mine is looking to do this job soon too Karl (stem seals) he's looking at some tool that enebles you to do it without removing the head though as per bentley manual. Do you need to change the head or is it just easier than fitting new seals? His plugs get oiled up really quickly, ie only a couple of days.

Lol! like the feeling i get sat next to Jude driving

Insurance renewal with Chris knott insurance...

He's lying lol! sign on the dotted line Sir -
Hi Graeme, Depends how you drive it and what type of journey, if i go 10 miles to work over a few hills in fairly busy traffic a bit of stop start too it does about 33 by the time i get to work. On the motorwy it will easily get 40 plus after about 30 40 mins cruising. I think they're a cracking choice as a daily and if mine had to go for whatever reason i'd be after another in a shot. :)

See you there :-)
-
Yeah never seen beige outer trims, guess the last one A0 1C is the one folk should ask for then. As the other two are the solid grooved ones. :-)
-
Ah i see, Bloody hell talk about make things difficult  But yes they are almost identical shape wise just the early one's have a slightly different Swage line at the top of the bumber but the same overall shape.
-
Wouldn't suprise me but does seem a ridiculous amount, a VR steering wheel was £400 plus VAT  But bought a brand new one off the bay for Waaaay less a year or so ago so i was happy with that.
-
Think you'd have to change the fogs & indicators in the front too so dragon's idea sounds the best to me.
-
And it sounds like you have been quoted for the inner plastic sill ones too as the script ones which go outside the door seal were only available in black :) As far as i know anyway.
-
We'll all be able to slate you then
-
Nice :) i think the petrol situation will ease in a day or so to be honest so just make sure you fill it up when you get the chance. Great to see the wedding car pic :) ps Congratulations.
