  1. Ooh nice icicles in the background! aint seen any like that for a few years :)
  2. Bout 40 like me i'm guessing, hope things go all ok though mate. guess you could do without this weather full stop :?
  3. To be quite honest the finish that came on most corrado from Karmann is truly shite compared to other marks of a similar price around at the time, i guess this is down to the methods they used in the factory including amongst other things preparation. At the end of the day wheather my cars had a decent finish to them is more important and I wouldn't really be too bothered about the original style finish, obviously i'd like it to look like it had just left the factory but i'd also rather it look like a decentish paint job as opposed to being original covered in chips and marks all over it etc. Quite a few sections on my VR are utterly crap and haven't been painted since it left the factory! not tellin ya which bits though  The thing that has bugged Jude more than anything this last 2 years has been the finish of the paint, and while i know she'd rather not have a perfect mirror finish as many detailers go for which looks amazing by the way, I know that she would rather it be the latter imacculate mirror finish as opposed to the condition it was in before it went into the paint shop. Maybe one day i'll get the VR done again and seek out the super flat mirror finish too! Maybe a while yet though drew but we have a spare room for you to stay over a few days when that happens
  4. Nothing safe about 9 inch wide wheels in this weather matey, they'll be pants! the narrower the better for this type of climate, unless its a tractor
  5. bit quiet at work then Dave? will be round with some metal objects soon then Lol! Chargable of course :salute:
  6. Just dont leave it in the car overnight
  7. Yeah i'm longing to pass one stuck on a hill while i cruise by with my witer Conti's on  cant see that happenin though....
  8. Wow thats a bit pricey! fixed mine with a tandem brake cable, some brake cable adjusters and a solderless nipple, all cost around £6 for the lot and about half an hour to fit
  9. And you'll always be able to pick it up and tuc it under your arm to carry it to a more drivable road :)
  10. Yeah just running 32 all round with my 8v Kev, I do use 36/32 on the VR though. Glad you like the tyres too
  11. You will not be dissapointed matey, had another epic drive to work today, set off at 7 and beat the idiots, only took 10 mins more than normal and most of the route was off main roads. I watched one guy trying to get up a slight incline near my house only to give up and roll back again so as soon as he was out the way i thought My Turn  and effortlessly flew up and outta sight in seconds..... i bet he sat there thinking WTF! Hope my rear ones arrive today as its covered again outside work! Bring it on!

  16. Na Jim, ordered another set from my local Kwik Fit of all places and only works out a fiver more than i paid on my tyres.com 2 weeks ago. Just mention the online price when you call your local store. 195, 50, 15, Continental TS800 :salute: Link, http://www.kwik-fit.com/tyre-search.asp
  17. Had a great drive to work in the snow Saturday morning Kev, got up our road with no effort at all and its quite steep, i normally struggle to get off the drive let alone get up the road. Extremly pleased with them so having some on the back too tomorow

Been covered a few times so an sure a quick search wil reveal a how to. :salute:
  19. What was "letting go"? The TS800s? On what surface? Wet, dry, ice, snow? Don't need to be hearing this, LOL! Maybe they just need scrubbing in a bit like normal tyres, which are also schitt fresh out of the mould? Dont panic Kev, it was actually dry but there was that greasy film which is left after they salt the road and it remains dry. was an off camber junction too so only slipped a littlewhen i moved off. Felt good today though when it was damp this morning  As you say will probably need a little bedding in, only done 30 miles on them so far.
  20. Nice one Andy, wish we could do the same with some corrado bits
