  1. I've had to replace is twice, though that could be because the first time i replaced it with a cr@p switch.
  2. If you only want to lower it a bit say 40mm, shocks and springs are probably your best bet. Below pic 40mm drop all round with shocks and springs I will have a set of koni shocks and H&R springs for sale soon
  3. Agree with Jim just use 2 cable ties. Forget about the screw. Neil - its hard to see with your eyes I dont think you'd be able to get a camera in there
  4. So does that mean I should keep the old infeed open? I thought it would be better to block the old headlight air infeed off to prevent warm air from being sucked in????? I wouldnt worry about warm air being sucked in via the front of the airbox. If you're driving only cold air will be forced in via the front of the airbox.
  5. ah.. Its more that Mclaren dont expect to do necessarily that well in Melbourne as opposed to the season in general -http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/3/9016.html I hope they get the problems sorted. But they do have an extra day of testing, one more then most of the other teams. Looking at the testing times Hamilton was in 8th with a 1:20.8, kubica was 7th with a 1:20.7 and Massa was only 6th with a 1:20.6 so not much between them and Mclaren are the only ones complaining about not being as fast as they could be.
  6. Would be interested to know how the new set of KW's compare to your Koni/H&R's. Particularly in the ride comfort :salute: Would love to but the problem is Leonard - Car is off the road now until after summer :( so i've never really got to know how the Koni and H&R combo performs.I want to go a little lower so have ordered a set of KW Variants. I will let you know what i think of the KW V1s though, when i can. Sorry i cant be of much help at the moment fella.
  7. Ok change of plan. Just ordered a set of KW V1's :D Will have a set of koni shocks and H&R springs for sale soon!
  8. Oh please, you should know better not to pay too much attention to testing times. Where does it say Mclaren state their car isnt fast?
  9. They have a longer wire....... Also they aren't used on any other VAG car so they don't sell as many. The fronts are used on lots of cars AFAIK. Typical. :?
  10. Hi sean, It seems a common problem with the carrier bolts, i had both fall out on me too and left me stranded. They''re a PITA. I did find though that the Irwin bolt grippers got them out in a jiffy. As for the sensor, £107 seems very steap just bought one myself a few weeks ago for £68 inc VAT. I'd love to know why the rears are alot more expensive to the front!??
  11. A big thanks to Jon (vwdeviant) for the rear card clips. Much appreciated fella :salute:
  12. No, as ITV are not doing the coverage anymore. There is no prize on the website, but I can probably get hold of a small plastic trophy for the victor. Besides, kudos from your fellow peers should be enough, or do you want a washing machine, drill set and cuddly toy?. of course  silly me i wouldn't mind one of those mini screwdrivers sets you get in the xmas crackers Im suprised you didnt get one of those last chistmas 3CM, its near impossible to have christmas without getting one of those  That website isnt as easy to use as the ITV one... or it could just be me
  13. good man! signed up! :D Ahh there we go, what a PITA! But how the hell do you join the league?
  14. I believe people use the mk3 hoses with the 288s.
  15. Yeah get the fantasy F1 setup :D im up for it. Cant see where to create league on that site. Not as easy (simple) to use as the ITV site.
  16. and Raikkonnen appears to not give a sh!t about anything  Im interested to see how Vettel will perform in the Red Bull too.
  17. the banter has started already. You've got to conceed that the last season wouldnt have ended so close if it wasnt for some of those ridiculous decisions. Hamilton would have ended by the 2nd to last race... at least  Looking forward to this season, should be a good un :D
  18. Cant wait until end of march now :D COME ONE MCLAREN!
  19. A huge thanks to trigger for alloys. Pleasure doing business with you mate  Thanks to besian for sending the rear VW badge out :D
  20. My question is, with a 2.9 V6 engine under the bonnet, why didnt VW give the VR6 more then 190bhp. Was it a case of not being able to get more power out of it OR were they holding it back performance wise?
  21. My thoughts exactly, MAKE you have to take it to them. A lass at work was saying she went and bought a bulb and she was asked if she needed it fitting and said 'yes'. He said you'll have to book it in as the car needs to be on the ramps and bumper off to get to the headlight..... WTF!???? :confused4: :cuckoo:
  22. The wheel with a chunk out of it can be repaired, it will need welding.
  23. I had the chrome inpros, and got rid in the end. Even if i'd have got the black ones, i think i'd have still got rid. The novelty of them wore off. In the end i just got some decent bulbs for the standard lights.
  24. Das the lights dont sit flush with the grille, they sit about 2cm further in on later models. Though looking at the first pic, its a little confusing as going by the badge on the grille its a VR and it can only be a K reg earliest, i had these on my VR and its a K reg but the lights still werent flush with the grille
