From what i've heard on previous posts no corrado were fitted with alarms in the factory, but were fitted afterwards by VW. Or that could have been later models. Maybe someone could correct or confirm that.

is it just superunleaded at normal leaded price as opposed to V power?

Yeah man isnt the standard pulley like 30-40k intervals? Lets hope the charger doesnt go bang cos then there'll go your engine too!

If its only the little L shaped mechanism (lever) thats broken i would definately just go to dave and get a replacement. Is that the case? Saves having 2 keys also. -

Critical_Mass replied to chiller1's topic in Suppliers Forum
Europl8.com is one place. I was after some pressed metal plates with a GB on the end and i couldnt get it unless my reg has a '1' in it :( - that was the bloke who goes to shows though, so may be different other places -
Any VR owners felt the need to get a 2nd car?

Mines off the road at the moment too, though not because its broken, but because i need to save some cash to get the debts gone. Only been a couple of week and im already missing driving it :( *sigh* -
Aye, discussed loads of times. Well G60 vs VR at least. It comes down to personal preference in the end.

Not strictly true about the police mate, but it does depend where you live as to what response you get, where i live if someone reports a theft in progress you get about 10 coppers, dogs, and a helicopter!! The other slight issue is that somne civilian call takers on 999 desks seem to think that they know the law, which some of them clearly do not Personally if i saw someone in the act of commiting a crime like that i would go out and spark them! see what they have to say when the police arrive.."yeah that bloke hit me coz i was stealing his wheels" or whatever, the law says what is deemed reasonable force in the circumstances mate, hitting them with a car jack is not reasonable (to most people  ) unless they have a weapon etc Besides most of are cautionable if you admit to giving someone a couple of slaps :D unfortunately 'reasonable force' ISNT hitting them. Maybe restraining them but you'd probably be facing an assault charge for hitting them, regardless if they were stealing something of yours AND especially if it wasnt on your property. I disagree with it but thats more likely how it will be. But on the other hand you could get away with a caution, not that that makes it ok. Also going by what society has turned into, they'll be carrying a knife or something.

Yeah i'd say neither of them and i'd say try a stock de-badged grile (if that makes sense), i.e. no eyebrow. Though if want one of those, id say stock too.

I had this on my 8v, I think it could be the sensor on the gearbox.
-
Yeah i forgot to take a look at it before the weekend. Though i dont think i'd have changed much.

The the ticking will the relay switch. As for the ignition switch position, for future reference ;) If you take the steering wheel cowling off, you should see a black block connector with loads of wires going into it - that is connected to the back of the ig switch. If you disconnect that by pulling it towards the dash (obviously squeeze the clips to release). If you then stick your head under you will see some prongs that the connector plugged into. Thats the ignition switch, to the right as you look at it shold be a small screw, thats teh one you need to get out.

Yeah a cable tie is always a good idea cos you know itll need replacing again in the future. The watchmaker screwdrivers sets you can buy.

Do it before it sticks on. -
nah thats it just the one plug. Oh and the little screw but as i said, bend a small srew driver to get to the screw, which means laying upside down so you can see the screw . But if like me you tried that and had no luck i just smashed the old one out and new one in (without replacing the screw) and then cable tied it in place. Good luck.
