Yup Heat wrap is also on the list, which i will get once i have got the exhaust. Where would i wrap the heat wrap - around all 6 pipes, or just around the bottom where they all join. OR both? In theory your premium should drop when you hit 25... doesnt mean it will, so jsut prepare yourself for that. The insurnace company take alot of factors taken into account when working out insurance premiums (whether they seem just or not). I turned to Adrian Flux when i last took a new policy out and i had just turned 25, they beat every other quote that i had got. Also, im only on 3rd party (due to 6 points costing a fortune on comp) but i still can drive any other car cos they base it on your age not what cover you have and why not you still only get 3rd party on any other vehicle even if you have fully comp. Shop around see who can offer you what.

Again, no oil consumption (or at least that i can work out) hasnt used a drop since its last and only 2nd oil change :D which was 4k miles ago. Though i WILL be looking after it. Water is spot on too. As for the tyres they get checked when either A - i remember B - see one of the tyres seems low.

Indeed despite my previous comment there is a lot of bad driving going on. I think it comes down to the fact the driving is no longer a skill for a lot of people, cars are simply are utility and driving is a means to an end to use that utility - not something to be enjoyed or to concentrate on. EXACTLY! Like cutting in and out of traffic whilst on the phone!!! which i saw a MPV driver doing the other day! I dont think people realise that they are driving a lethal weapon.

There's worse younger drivers out there. I would argue that the majority of 26 year olds are better drivers than the majority of 93 year olds. Oh i agree. But there are less 93 year olds. Imagine what the terrible 26 year old drivers will be like when they're 93 :lol:

Hi guys, 2 questions - 1 - ive bought a 6 branch manifold and im planning on getting a Supersprint Cat-back exhaust at the end of the month. What, if any, power gains will i get from fitting these? 2 - When i fit the exhaust manifold what should be done with the air duct pipe which currently connects to the downpipe

Yep thats how it should be. I think its a case that you would notice your headlights are on or you can see the instrument panel light up. Its harder to notice the sidelights on in the light or the dash. That my theory anyway. :lol:

To be hair towards Andy_vw/ I emailed him and emailed him and got no response. However when i emailed him asking for my money back, he did within about an hour of me asking for it. So im sure you'll get your cash back even if you dont get the loom.

Thats a good idea mate, I was told to use newspaper when drying the car, it also could work inside too.... Aparently it contains some ingredient in the mulch which leaves a perfect shine & condensation free etc... cant be bothered tho :nuts: heh i was talking about that with my mum the other week. She said newspaper was used to clean glass :cuckoo: I thought it'd leave ink marks on the window :roll: :lol: infact just using kitchen towel works best both to put washing up liquid on and to buff up after. :wink:

good idea! In regards to the condensation problem, which my VR also suffers from. A way to cure it is to clean your windows, then with a minute amount of washing up liquid rub a cloth over the windows. Finish off with a clean tissue or like and comes up sparkling and no condensation. Dad's been doing that for years.

Is it a constant squeak, like something going round (wheel)? Or a on and off squeak?
