Can someone please confirm what year VRs with dizzys stopped being made and coil packs were being fitted? I have a 93 VR which has a coilpack, am i correct in thinking the VRs were produced from 92> but only a year of producing them with a distributor?

That sits exactly where the smaller one should there is small ridges on that part of the grille for the other badge to fit in. Though the size probably makes it look as though it need to go further out. Its glued on so it aint gonna be moved
-
Debadged grille with the VR badge in the corner, though not a corrado one cos they're like rocking horse shit, so its a mk3 golf one instead. Still not 100% sure whether its too big. The corrado one is alot more subtle.

Heres the tube mate - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-CORRADO-SCIROC ... dZViewItem Says for VR too, though we all know what ebay is like. Was different tubes used for different engines on the corrado ie difference lengths? OR is it the thinner metal tube you're wanting too not just the guide? Im sure theres someone breaking a VR who has a dipstick.

Hi fellas, Quick Qs - I've reset the ECU for the first time since getting new VR lump installed. Followed the procedure and got to the point of going into basic settings on VAG-COM (last part). Thats as far as i got as i was prompted that i had to activate the program inorder to access that area and others. It states on the WIKI guide that its pointless doing the first part of the procedure if you dont go into VAG-COM and run the basic settings. IS this the case, i will get it activated if so or is it not really necessary? Also i've read you guys going on about figures with the different components, is that in a part of VAG-COM that i cannot access until i activate it? Any help appreciated. Sorry to jack your thread.

Hi Kaiser, From what ive read on here before its got something to do with the vaccum pipe on the back of the dials - possibly come loose or split. HTH

Firstly why dont you drain some of the oil. Secondly get the correctly dipstick tube so the level can be measured accurately - is this why there could be too much oil in the engine? Also too much oil will cause more pressume and could cause more problems.

If only all Corrado problems were that easy to fix
-
Only list them for the VR, give them a right and see what they say.

Yep leave handles and mirror trim black. I dont personally think its wise to remove bumpstrips if its used daily (too many disrespectful idiots out there), how about colour coding the bump strips has anyone done that before? It would mean you still have the protection but also the colour coding would make them blend in with the car body.

Welcome mate. Looks a very nice example! (without the stickers and those wheels ) I think some coilovers are being sold in the for sale section, though not sure for which spec.

£30! Not bad really. Im sure when i rang VW for a price on VR HT leads they quoted at least £130

Pics of 2 tone painted corrado's please
Critical_Mass replied to Mr_Rossy's topic in General Car Chat
The first pic in traverse's post looks on with just the black roof. Though i wouldnt do it to my rado. The ones with the painted bonnet also isnt to my taste either. -
Car noise- has this happened to anyone else?

I'd class myself as an agnostic too. I think believing in life after death (if that isnt a contradiction in terms) could be seen as a way of dealing with the fact that you will eventually die. Wouldnt be so bad if you knew there was something after you pass on from this world. Lets face it it cant be any worse then Labours Britain can it! -

I dont understand them not wanting to use modern technology to help in life. Surely the technology they do use would have been "modern" at some point. So shouldnt they go back to living in caves etc???? Correct me if im talking shoite. -
Welcome mate! niec ride 8)

HELP needed asap! headlight switch UPDATE 4: Fixed!!!
Critical_Mass replied to Jim Bowen's topic in Interior
A failed ignition switch would show these symptoms though. At least when 2 of mine failed the starter motor would turn but the car wouldnt fire. -
Yes. I bought a set of fk shocks and springs for £150 (i think) brand new of ebay. I thought there would be something wrong with them at that price. But they fitted ok and have been running them for a good 6-8 months - no problems. Though i have noticed the rear N/S is slightly higher then the Rear O/S, though that could be due to the O/S settling more then the other side. No one really sits in the back of my rado. Its normally just me if not me and the missus (in the front that is )
-
 It would be cool if it did come with it. Could hook it up to the rest of the body work to stop theives.
-
Its probably more then an extra 125, unless all 500 storms as still about ie non written off.

Could even be the ignition switch if by pure coincidence the switch has gone. I was messing with the car once and it wouldnt start either after i had finished. Turned out to be the ignition switch that coincidentally had just happened to go at that time.
