  1. Ok cheers fellas! 8) I'll give what you've said a go. Whats the nipple that sits ontop of the gear box? The pipe that comes off the right hand side of the abs pump, it then turns into a metal pipe, loops round a couple of times, then theres a nipple. I think its next to the gear selector mechanism (??) I thought that was the abs one, but couldnt get any fluid out of it.
  2. Are the 2 nipples on the pump bang next to each other like : that?
  3. Ah right, its under the reservoir. Do you have to press the pedal as you would bleeding normally?
  4. Is that the one at the back of the car - read about it in other related threads. EDIT - Or is that close to the reservoir?
  5. Could someone tell me how you scan the ABS with VAGCOM to bleed it. Ive painted my calipers, so id taken them off losing all the fluid. Fitted the brakes back on the car and filled the brake fluid back up. Bled the calipers, but the brakes are so spongey, dangerous even. When the ignition is off or the ignition is on but the engine isnt started, the brakes feel ok. As soon as i start the car the pedal goes soft - to the floor!!! Im assuming this is due to the abs. I cant connect to the abs via vagcom due to 'too many communication errors', why do i get that error? Also how do i go about using VAG COM to pump the abs pump? Need help as soon as, this is my only car and leaves me without until this is sorted. Cheers in advance. 8)
  6. You do realise you havent connected the plug on the pipe in that pic?
  7. The carriers to be swapped too? IIRC those hoses are a pain to get?
  8. :D flick the switch between the 2 depending on which one you want to cycle through.
  9. Are the mk2 calipers cheaper then the corrado ones, albeit being the same. Are the Mk4 calipers a straight swap bar the brake hose and carriers?
  10. I got a clutch and brake rubber from ebay for 2.99 plus a quid postage or something like that. Never seen the accelerator rubber on there though.
  11. I dont think you can fit it the wrong way round.
  12. Maybe thats the plan. Forget speed cameras, the way to slow people down is to either not repair the road at all or repair it to a bad standard. :|
  13. Wicked, i'll get my self down there. :D
  14. Did you get the accelerator one from VAG, how much, part no.?
  15. Sounds wicked! 8) Love the race to the line with the 911 :D
  16. Ah sorry, the squeal is still there. Possibly not the belt then, I'd have thought the sqeal would have gone once you get going, if it was the belt. Does it do it at idle? Maybe worth idling it and having a listen under the bonnet. Maybe get some one to rev it whilst listening too. Sorry i cant be more helpful. :?
  17. My experience with the G60 is that it was always rather noisey anyway - due to the supercharger. The squeak im guess was the belt that was too loose and now that you have a correct sized belt its gone. The whine is normal i would say. Do you have a chip fitted too, or just the belt (cant remember which way round it is that you can run one without the other, think its you can have a chip but no smaller pulley, just not the other way round.) if so it may need setting up properly. Or as mentioned your passengers were holding you back
  18. Good stuff! :D I've always said that its hard to interpret what someones tone is like when youre reading their text. I've been a victim of it before myself.
  19. Come on lads, just agree to disagree and all that, just move on........ 8)
  20. I've just got 5 litres of Synta Gold for £27 inc VAT. Anyone beat the price of that, im just wondering whether thats cheap, average or pricey? But i do know fully synthetic is more expensive, but not how much more. :?
  21. The Hub, i believe i saw you online the other night. I came to join your battle. Shame theres no message facility. :(
