Hankook kingstars, ill look the reviews up. Rating out of 10 over all catch?
-
Hmmm yeah i think i agreee with neil. Wouldnt it do the same in the summer?? would the oil heatign up quicker in summer cause any problems?
-
Sorry but i think some of the rados (IMO) are way too low. Even if it was only for weekends or a show piece. How you going to around in them. Could get over a stone chip never mind a speed bump or anything else that may scrape the front bumpers and underside. Still they DO look nice but i think there is a balance. EDIT - WTF was i on about - possibly drunk  dont remember writing that anyhow. Nah all looks good!

My G60 takes around 4 miles to get up to temp (careful driving). However, now the temperature has dropped due to the winter, I leave my car to idle for 10-15 mins before i set off to work in a morning. That way the temp is 80 degrees+ thus no need to worry about low oil temps while driving. But then again i have a drive thats far enough off the road AND in a good area. (not a dig at those that live in a dodgy area, but i know it wont get nicked in my estate)

Falkens you say??? Hmmm what do others think of that, open to discussion. Sorry twotwo it needs to be turning into a "whats the best tyre" thread.

What's the rarest car you've ever seen?
Critical_Mass replied to StormVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah ive seen the new ford gt40 in otley about 6 months back. Very nice car. -
Yeah may as well sell up and buy a golf.
-
Hmmm the porsche, i like it but its nothing compared to the veyron IMO. BUT BUT BUT, its cheaper to run and buy, you dont have to takea life insurance policy and a loan out every time you take it for a spin.

need some inpartial advice about what tyres to get then.
-
Could be good news for me then. Lets hope the council get there arses in gear. The road that it happened on has been resurfaced. Is smooth as a babies behind.
-
YES it IS made, but its not going into production. According to top gear they only made it to see if it could be done. The clarkson said it wouldnt be made. HENCE the reason i thought it wouldnt be made. ... just read the news on webwombat.com.au. You're right they are making it, a hand full will be shipped to australia while mojority sold in Europe. I lurve that car!
-
Yeah true Phil, but at least good tyres will give you more of a chance. Oh and catch_twotwo, you werent wrong were you LOL  Trouble is i cant change the wheel yet until i hear from the council. If they want to see wheel that was damaged they will question why its on the back. Dont want to hurt my chances of them paying for it.
-
Yeah it'd be the Veyron of course. But i dont think they ARE making them. Well thats what ive come to believe from the reviews. Even if they did make them, youd probably never see one in the flesh on the road. Apparently on a full tank of £100, with foot firmly on the floor youd use all the fuel in 12mins!
-
The Bugatti Veyron, Sorry but theyre not making it anyway, so forget about the waiting list. They made it to see if it could be done.
-
had the geometry adjusted? what exactly do they do when adjusting the geometry? Do you mean the alignment?
-
sorry ive edited a sentence i put in the first post to "the wheels will turn but car DOESN'T go round the corner without sliding. Feels like car is on ice." rather then what i implied which was the total opposite. Oh and Catch_Twotwo, that was noted about the "best tyre" debate.

Ok, So ive bought a set of 17 inch wheels with 205/40 17 tyres on them. Since ive fitted them about a month and half ago, ive noticed that ive lost grip up front. At first i put it down to new tyre needing the top layer of rubber wearing off and theyd get better with use. But NOPE, they havent, change the pressure to a lower PSI of 30 and theyre still cr@p. Any Ideas?? Now i know the front pass side needs swapping for the rear drivers side cos the treads are facing the wrong way, can this affect handling even in damp or dry conditions. I also though the road was just greasy or slippy cos of cold. But even on a dry day the grip is crap. I sometimes do a short wheel spin if going off at speed. If i put my foot down the steering goes light and i can feel the tyres not gripping with light handling. Or a fast corner, the wheels will turn but car doesn't go round corner with out sliding a bit. Feels like car is on ice. Any idea welcome, will changing the front round help??? Only reason i havent done it yet is that i hit a pothole and im claiming dent in rim of front pass wheel and they may want to come look at wheel. OR something, so they say :?:

£60 quid!!! silly as hell! I've recently stuck the strip towards the back, between arch and door. Used Halfords trim tape. Didnt stay on securely first time. But did it again and its fine. Even stuck my eyebrow on with the same tape and its still nice and tightly on. Good tape i thinks.
-
yeah it is a bit of a sod. Hard to find the right sized self tapping screw. Only difficult part of it.
-
YEAH! great arent they. Have you got them fitted yet? Let us know how you get on.
-
Yup id agree with 46mph down at around 10. 80! if you didnt go on motorway EVER, then you'd never be able to appreciate it! :?
-
not me HA dont make me laugh.

-
