  1. OK OK and oil cooler you say, is that totally dif from an intercooler? Someone point me in the right direction to get a bargain priced oil cooler? Oh and it was pirelli whos quote was "power is nothing without control" - madjackel.
  2. Hello David, Sorry about that mate its a '91 G60. Funnily enough i checked the power steering resavoir and it was below min mark. Ive topped it up, looks ok still now though. Another thing, the rubber pipe which comes out of the throttle body and is connected to a plastic pipe via a jubilee clip, is that suppose to have oil in it, even a small amount. noticed oil residue coming out around where the two pipes join via the jubilee clip?   4. Sorry i have another question. I noticed oil forming back of front bumper just below oil filter. So when i changed the oil on my car i made sure the oil filter was on tight. (old oil filter came off a bit easy). Thinking this was the cause i forgot about it. Now ive noticed drips of oil on the driveway again, not large amount jsut small patches. Ive once again looked under front bumper and noticed the oil again. Im wondering if its coming from the pipes which run along the length of front bumper (they have corrigated plastic round them, presuming that they protect pipes). What are these pipes, whats the part no for them and is it serious or jsut a case of a rotted pipe which needs replacing???? THANKS!

  6. you sure about that? i always thought they stuck a probe up the rear pipe (oooh eerr) to test the emissions.

  8. Can someone tell me what the last year was that a cat on a car wasnt a legal requirement. Thinkign about de-catting my '91 J reg G60. What is the last year, i thought it was 91, when in '91 is it. You can get early 91 reg being a H. Or a late '91 which is a J?

  12. Ok ive had my car set up at jabbasport after having a chip and 68mm pulley fitted a couple of months back. The delivery of power is noticable, but i still think i need a bit more horses. Any ideas what i can get done next to add more power but isnt too expensive nor requiring other work to be done.

  15. well this may be a stupid conparison but, ive got one of those Traxxas petrol Radio controlled trucks and running it lean gives it performance but runs hot due to less lubrication. Running it rich is ok, but it has less performance and more reliability. It also doesnt run as hot.

  17. hmm well the days have gone by some more, havent filled up YET. still just over and 8th of a tank left excluding the reserve. ive done around 150 miles. So i could poss be getting the same figures as you guys. It could also be due to the fact ive gone from a 1.1 pug 106 to a 1.8 g60 and a full tank in my lil pug would last 300 miles at least. But, it is still over fueling so theres fuel to be saved there. By the way, is over fuelling damaging? Ive read a thread on here with someone saying the cat was glowing and making the gear lever heat up and a response to that was, dont drive it, its prob over fuelling way too much. Now i dont think my cat is glowing. But the gator of my gear lever seems to get warm, not hot, but warm. Any ideas TA!!! :rainbowafro:

  21. Hi Guys, I am wondering how may mpg are people getting with 42 quids worth of fuel in tank- Tank is full and fuel all the way up the nozzle? Now i know i need the timing advancing due to a chip and 68mm pulley and also a previous owners bodged "fix" on the exhaust, just behind the cat, has developed a hole. Ive filled it up friday night and ive done around 125-130 miles in it and not having a heavy foot too much. The needle on the fuel gauge (on a flat enough surface) is just above the quarter mark. Im kind of wondering how many miles ill get after ive done what needs doing? Before i had chip and pulley fitted and exhaust was ok, i was getting 41mpg while cruising at 50pmh. Cheers Guys!
  22. As far as im aware it was from his yellow one, itd make sense seen as he was breaking it. Yeah im running the original injectors. So what do i do next get a new chip? Sounds the best idea. Will i still need to get the car remapped? Is it ok running that chip until i get a new one. Its been in a couple of month already. Car feels cr*p. I can be behind a calibra and it pull away from me. Car has no acceleration and not a lot of torque. Advise away peeps! Cheers everyone
  23. ah right ill have a look for the FPR goign by the description you gave me, By any chance its not a black cylindrical shape is it. Bolted under the lip of the engine bay at the back? I bought the chip from banana man from the forum, who ensured me it was a SNS chip but didnt say which one. Its jsut a blank black chip. Didnt notice any serial number on it or anything. Id need to check. The car is just running poop at the moment, Its jolting alot hesitates all the time. Doesnt seem like theres any power until the revs get up to 2k and the revs sometime drop below 900 and then back to idle which is 1000-900 (depending if car is warm). when car is first started itll idle at 1000rpm then when ive been driving and engine is warm it idles at about 900.
  24. Hello, Can someone tell me how to fit the FPR and show me a pic of where its located? I have got a SnS chip fitted with a 68mm pulley. I am going down tot jabba sport to get it remapped. However i was advised i needed a 3.5bar fpr due to the extra fuel that is beign fed. There is a 4 bar FPR for sale on ebay. Would this be ok or better? or should the 3.5 bar fpr be fitted? Any Advice i would appreciate :? Isnt the FPR just the fuel pump with a dif name and 3.5bar would obv will provide more pressure. Thanks
  25. are they easy to fit, where exactly are they? What do i have to do first before attempting to remove adn refit the pipes
