Its behind the passenger headlight, just next to the rad. Though if it was too tight surely you'd have issues with both pins, worth checking though.

Will depend how you drive, if you take it easy it may last a while yet, but you run the risk of it suddenly letting you down.

Add the cat then see, how many boxes does it have, just the centre box?

Thats a new one to me Stretch, not seen that one about Leeds before. Once again i saw N** FET, classic green Storm at Rothwell roundabout, i was just pulling onto it as it went round. Got a beep and a wave :D Ended up following it and seeing who can make their VR sound the best  :D

Changed the rear pads AGAIN, for some thinner ones so i can replace the pads i had to shave to get them to fit - werent doing the news discs any good, had to readjust the handbrake. Replaced the front engine mount too, that was an easier job then i thought it was going to be. No more thuds when changing from first to 2nd gear or when letting off the throttle :D -

Thanks for that! :D Love that black scirocco! -
Its behind a trim panel. Looking at the glovebox shelf, the bit of trim you want to remove is down to the left, near the door. There's 2 screws holding it. Behind it is the ABS ECU. Water can sometimes get behind there and damage it... which you obv dont want.

Isnt it true that if the rack is on its way out it would generally be heavier turning one way then the other?

Coming along nicely mate, love the look of fresh paint :D Cant wait to see the end product and those wheels look mint! You replacing the centre caps or keeping the VW ones?

I dont like the feel of new car steering nor brakes either, the brakes a too twitchy and feel either ON or OFF. The steering i find too light, doesnt give me confidence as the steering wheel feels disconnected from the road wheels. With the Corrado steering gievs feedback nad you can feel the road. Though i agree that the Corrado brakes could be that little bit better, though not to the extent of modern brakes.

You bugger. Did the rears on mine last weekend. 3 of the four bolts came out no prob but the top one on the drivers side wouldnt budge and the alllen fitment was at such an angle i couldnt use a bar on the allen key as it was up against the bumper. COuldnt get a irwin on it as there was no room to hammer one on. grrrrr hours later i finally got it off. -
Hi all, Looking at buying a second hand VR downpipe to replace the one i have on the car, as i suspect there's a slight blow due to popping and highish pitch sucking noise. But before i get the secondhand downpipe fitted, i want to get it checked for no leaks. Does anyone know of any places in pref in Leeds or in Yorkshire area that can do this for me? Cheers Gaz
