Wouldnt you need to get the auto adjustment fitted too, otherwise they're illegal. I hate HID, i dunno if its becuase my car is lower the others, but they just glare you. Anyone know what the "rally" spec bulbs are like that Halfords sell. It says not for road use, but did wonder how much brighter they were. Tempted to try a set.

Moving a car that has no mot or tax---insurance?
Critical_Mass replied to cheesy's topic in Insurance
I dont get this advertising of new laws regarding insurance and tax. As i said above you've always had to tax a car or declare it off the road, never just expired tax - irregardless of whether the car is insured. I dunno why they're doing this awareness campaign on it. -

Yep no problem. You cant get tax with no MOT. You are allowed to take the car to and from a testing station only. You've ALWAYS had tax a car or declare it SORN regardless if its insured or not. You can get short term insurance. EDIT - sorry thought you were on about more then jsut insurance - yeah just get insurance, though if you plan on driving it once MOT'd and taxed why not get long term insurance? -
Just spotted a blue rado on the BBC news. It was during the terrorist raids story in Birmingham, literally just now. It was parked behind a blue polo, could just see it. Had eyebrow. :D

Sam, i had this issue last winter. Got my uncles mate to make some metal versions up. They've all sold bar just one, you can have it if you pay for postage. It looks like the first attempt at making one, so doesnt look as good as the others, but it will do the job still. Its metal so wont eventually go brittle and break ever again. Fit and forget. I didnt think you could buy the trumpet part seperately. Thought you had to buy the whole cable as a complete unit.

Bear in mind that if you change the colour you'll have either respray any painted metal other then the outside of the panels or leave then looking different. Not so much of a problem with teh flash red and tornado red, they're not that much different. Used to own a Flash red 2litre 8v and its a little more orange then the tornado. Though if its too different obviously may look odd. Personally id jsut get it resprayed flash red.

This is where i got mine - http://www.dubberssportsvws.co.uk/ Only in Hudderfield. Got mine about 4 years ago, he doesnt appear to have any Corrados in at the mo, but maybe worth keeping an eye on his stock or give him a bell.

Sorry to alarm you :? i'll change the thread title, how do i do that? -
That was the point, they arent all obvious. Hence speaker screw and leading edge. As well as the infamous reverse screw
-
lol yeah but you know what they are makes it easier to interpret what they are lol. Never heard of Maurange tyres 195 45 (!) 15???

Stolen off Edition38 http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=407554 Not anyone off here is it?
-
There's a hidden screw behind the speaker grille and also anotehr along the front endge of the door card. If you need to take the handle out, the nut holding it on on the trailing edge of the door is reverse thread, so to undo you turn it RIGHT!!!

I have the KW V1s and they are excellent, not crashy, very compliant. I can only imagine the V2 will be even better. Do they have the damper adjustment?

Missing VF this year. Great friendly show. Love it. Normally camp whichi is the better way to do it and you can come and go to the show as you please. BUt only been able to visit for the day the last few years. One year we went up the Malvern hills and was able to look down upon the show and watch the campers come and go. Have to try and make next year. :D -
depends how much you want to spend. Heard GAZ are a good setup but rather expensive, then there's KW v1, v2 or v3s - these are inox coated and prevents corrosion and siezing spring seats. Not sure what the FK silverlines are like, do they suffer from siezed spring seats?

Feel for you mate, disgusting isnt it.

Mine came today Matt, thanks very much buddy. Literally took 30 seconds to fit. The packaging was fine btw. What were you saying about the LEDs, cos ive changed the LEDs for the fog lights and heated rear window to red and they do light up. The lights around the instruments (speedo etc) are still green, again light up. I plan to change them to red at some point. Was it speedo lights you were saying dont light up if you've changed them to red? -
Yeah tell me about it, when it last happened to me id just pulled onto the roundabout and it stalled. Luckily its started first time every time. Im ruling out the damper pot. At least for me as mine new, only been on the car 6 months.
-
This is strange by no means uncommon, ive currently got this issue. BUT hasnt done it for a while. Not sure if people have ever got to the bottom of it.
-
Was goign to mention greenlight too. I tried all the places you tried. HIC wouldnt budge on my renewal, which was £830 same as year before. Greenlight - i got it for £600 over the monthly payments.
