Corrado ownership trait unfortunately, going through a pad patch myself. Driving it turns you back into a believer. Check the wiring, if none of it is loose. It could be the ignition switch on its way out, common problem. THey do wear over time. Do a search mate, covered plenty of times. When you buy a new one, makes sure its a VAG part not a pattern.

Think ive spotted this same C this eve too. Going down the hill of the A6120 towards crossgates and the crashed bus. It was a dark blue (mystic?) clear and red rear lights. Exchanged waves - this one must be local, new to me though. V nice rado :D

Just checked on the DVLA site that my old 2.0 8v that was a economic wrote off in 2005 (front end damage) has been exported, why would someone export a write off?

I did mine silver and after a while they just looked dirty and didnt clean up v well. Going to do them black next time

What circlip?. I think you're missing a nut or 2 also. I think the metal cone is held on to the top of the coilover by a nut. Then you ahve the cylindrical piece, then another nut. The rubber top mount slides over the top of that, with the metal top hat piece inside the top of the rubber mount. Another nut, then metal washer and finally the last nut. Did you buy the car with that suspension fitted or did you get it fitted? DOnt think the top plates that come with coilovers rust, i know the KWs dont so i would say yours never had it.

Coilovers come with their own cone shaped top plate on top of the spring, surely yours should have them. I know the KWs ive got fitted has them and even the cheapo V-maxx i used to have had them. Exactly, why have a law when they dont follow up any such incidents. I would be well pi$$ed if they'd raced my car, never mind see it being raced around. The importance of taking it to a garage i trust.

Had this happen to me but on standard suspension, the spring plate was rusty as, eventually gave way :-/ What suspension you running? Pics would help mate. There's no much to the top of coilovers. Metal cone, supplier with coilover, with the rubber bushes ontop. There's a metal cylinder going through the centre of the bush i believe.

Cheers chaps. So bar the difference in the gap for the handbrake cable, they're the same on all models. Do i need mk4 handbrake cables too?
