Very Nice -
I would think its definatly a wiring issue. Have you connected all the earths back to the side of the head (Coolent Flange) also worth checking is the wiring to the blue CTS as if this has become damaged it may cause the car from starting.

if its new why weld it ?
-
A new pulley is in the region of £25. Is it really worth taking the Risk ?
-
Yes Mike we certinaly can.
-
U need to undo it if someone has fiddled with the pulley **welding** there is a good chance its not sitting totally flat hence the wobbling
-
Your problem is not with the pulleys you mention. I would imagine the problem is with the crank pulley itself moving. This would explain all the symptons you are seeing. go and whip the crank pulley off now (19mm Multipoint socket) and check the condition of the keyway.

I have just finished working on a lysolmed car with boost return system and it has quietened them down by around 25% on idle you would hardly know it has the lysolm fitted over a Std car.

If you have another fan switch and a pot of boiling water why not try activating the fan with these methods. plug the loom into the new switch and then put it into the boiling water. this is definatly let you know if its just your existing fan switch at fault.

Spraying one is an option but it would cost around 5k to do a total colour change so thats the reason for looking for one in the correct colour as we have to try and stick to the budget we have allocated for other area's of the car.
-
I would asume this is the same car we were all set to buy but if it isn't that means there is still a chance of finding another. yes 92/93 model yr needed for the factory colour
