I bought a boot seal to fit my Scirocco from Phoenix Supplies - they had a stand at the VWNW Show at Tatton Park. Price - £12. VW Stealership wanted £60.... :D Fitted like a glove. Pretty sure if you contact them for any seals for the Corrado they could help. www.phoenixclassictrim.com Tel 01884 849294 Mob 07795 66194 Fax 01884 849295 email [email protected] They suggest sending them a small section of your seal to match, or make an imprint of it from a stamp pad for them to match up. They will need to know the length you require as sold by the meter. They also supply for other types of items requiring a seal....

Found this link on the SciroccoRegister forum - has been put on by a Mod there so has been approved! http://www.vagdirectory.co.uk/index.php/home Apparently it's a database of suppliers for the VAG community! Don't know if of any use to anyone here?

Stereo stays on even after I take key out the ignition...
Turbogirlie replied to Jim's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
I thought this was common with VW? Both stereo's in my Corrado & Scirocco can be turned on/off whether you have the ignition turned on or off - same in the other 3 Scirocco's I've owned as well. -
My '92 G60 had the original stereo handbook but no stereo. Mine had a Sony system apparently. Desperately trying to convince my other half to rip his Celica to bits to remove his as he has the exact unit in there! Unfortunately, I believe it is not as simple with the Celica to remove as it is with Corrado's & Scirocco's. I have a long wait....... Mine had a CD player but, due to lowered, hard suspension, the CD's kept skipping so I swapped it for a tape deck system. Anyone else had this? Or was the CD system a cheap one?

Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE

Hi Dave, Damn, didn't find this thread in time! Back in Feb I forked out for a new driver's door handle from the stealership. However, needed it as would have failed the mot! Have kept old handle, would be interested in price for a drivers side repair kit plus postage to Herefordshire. Yes, the arm snapped, 2 weeks before the mot expired! Same old same old I guess! Thanks. -
Welcome, can understand why you say the C is a proper car after seeing the pic above! Have owned my G60 for 18+ months now, still smiling! Bigger grins alround when the Scirocco GTX is back on the road!!!! :luvlove: Enjoy the C - it is a unique experience!

Don't assume a VAG FSH is the dogs bollox when buying a car - local stealership admitted that it can depend on what 'needs doing' as defined by each technician's ideas - I have some major discrepancies between my full service last year where some items required attention and, this year, miraculously, had repaired themselves! Anyone know of a decent garage in Herefordshire where I can trust the fact that they have done the service to the level we would expect? 4give me but I thought that the technicians were trained to a certain level and worked to certain criteria - a check list. Surely they are not just trying to generate work which doesn't need doing? Suppose we all know deep down not to trust the stealerships, however, as some parts are only available from VAG we have little choice..........

Some people have more money than sense...

Beggars belief really! Bet the salesman at the stealership was WELL chuffed at his good fortune! -
I managed to register ok this morning. Very useful tool. Have got a copy of EKTA on my pc but is a bugger to work as have to alter the resolution and it doesn't like my fst monitor. This is brill. Thank you.

Thanks for the idea but don't think it'd work. My driveway is on a slope with the peak at the top, where it joins the pavement, the pavement then drops away and then the camber of the road gets in the way!

U have my sympathies with the speed bumps. Unfortunately my driveway is our speed bump - I grind the G60's front spoiler and zorst every morning and evening pulling in and out of the drive. Naff all can be done either! Arse!

Driving home from work last Thursday along A4110 north from Hereford some one in a Corsa was right up behind me in the 40. Saw a little light in the rear view mirror - the passenger was taking a photo of my grubby G60! Gave them the thumbs up - 3 lads in the car crack up at this. Had cambelt done at local VW garage yesterday. They collect and return the car (xpensive car wash - £145!). Saw the courtesy bus driver and the salesman looking at the car upon returning it - lad brings me the keys. Duly thank him for returning the car - he says that it's a really nice example and is brilliant - if I ever want to sell it to let him know! Made up for two completely crap days at work to be honest!

Good one spotted a couple of weeks ago on an Audi DU 51 TGO = DUS IT GO Another spotted this morning, in nice Italic script E1LLO ! Anyone else seen any good plates?
-
My other half's mate loves my Corrado, also likes my Scirocco too! He prefers the Corrado to Fil's Toyota Celica Mk4 - pop up headlamp model! The other day at work one of the lads saw the Corrado and said Wow is that your car - I've alway's liked them - it's a Corrado isn't it? When I told him about the stage 2 charger he was drooling a good 'un! That made me feel good! Sunday - Hereford. At traffic lights turning right by Sainsbury's, couple of blokes in left hand lane in a Vauxhall - drove past and both turned their heads in admiration of German engineering! Mega Chuftie!
