I think as I need new front shocks and top mounts it would be worth upgrading, considering I want to eventually. Cost as it may I think it would be worth it considering the outlay just for VAG parts.

As above, I know this is in the suppliers forum somewhere but I am in a bit of a hurray as need to go on quite a long journey next week. Have had a mate look over the car as have had her for 6 months now and thought I had best get her a good going ovre and he has found quite a few problems. :shock: I need New front Discs and Pads. (is it worth getting standard or something better?) New rear pads. 2 Front top mounts 2 front shocks.(is it worth getting a set of coilovers and where is the cheepest place to get a semi decent set?) 2 Anti roll bar drop links???? Steering rack gaitor. And finally a manifold to downpipe gaket. Any help would be greatly appriciated as I need these pretty quick and am also looking for the best deals (will be trawling the internet all evening) as I have just bought my GF an egagement ring (and dont really want to have to send it back to buy bits for the car) and am going skiing next weekend :D Cheers tim

Thats what I have just done tonight. Just used lighting gel from a audio suppliers £3 for 4 diffrent colours. And changed the filters. Think I might try to go with a darker blue than the standard though as its a bit light.! Check uot gradeAfaliures guide on this page. Tim

Couldnt see any breaks and pretty sure I have put it all back together properly. I know a man with a multimeter so will check tomorrow. But If the first one is out due to a fault on the flex wouldnt they all fail???

Ok put dash back in lights work well and LCD,s are blue. Only problem is the bulb on the left above the fuel guage is not working. The bulb is fine as have tried in a different holder. Any Ideas???

You need late-spec or VR needles - they're red :) Anyone got a spare set or can I buy them from anywhere?? :oops:

As above Hellllpppppp, Used the search but to no avail and have my dash apart on the living room table!!!!!!! Am wanting to change the LCD,s to blue and have taken them apart. I have found a green and a white sheet (filter I think) in front of the lcd and want to know if I chuck away the green and replace with a blue one or both. Cheers Tim

Tis cornwall in the winter, And jobs are not to easy to come by but methinks Newquay is def your best bet being the busiest place around. Plus is only a few weeks to half term and for some unknown reason the brits love it down here even when its Baltic :roll: On the car front I am hearing that one of the boys at RK Engineering is selling his valver (white) with NOS at the mo for not too many pennies. They are based in St Agnes on 01872 553839. Worth the trip down just to see one of the boys G60 in the flesh tis truly a beast and last word was a 16vG60 with FMIC was going in!!

Green J plate 16valver with de badged grille and colour coded number plate plinthe on the redruth to chasewater road cornwall parked up about 3ish today and 10 mins later a lovely private plate black VR at the pool roundabout. Got a flash and a wave !!! :D

I only drive my c once or twice a week and now my missus has got a new job she is going to be commuting 50 miles a day on nice twisty fun roads in her until we can afford a 2nd motor. At least she will be paying out the national debt in fuel :lol: .And I am soooooooooooooooooooooo Jealous :mad:

Update on the cheap H4's situation. Well all fitted today and they are a vast improvement on the old ones. Poss not the brightest on the road but for £12.99 a pair I am glad I bought them. I can see hedges, Pedestrians, cyclists and all manner of other things. Not to mention more than three foot in front of me. Thumbs up IMO. well worth the pennies. :D

Got a good trade in on them not too bad as I think one of them was buckled!!! She has stopped pulling to the left since I changed them. :D

Nothing for weeks then 2 in one day. Red one on the tuning into a garden center at Lelant just off the A30. No wave just a confused look and then another 5 mins later heading southbound on the A30 and got a wave. Its made my Xmas week :oops: :oops:
