  1. Thanks man, its a bit of a mess in there right now. There are 3 of us that share the shop and 2 of us have all been working on some crazy projects lately. The truck you see in the pictures is plain rediculous. 87 Toyota long bed, bed has had 1 foot sectioned out of it so it is a normal sized bed but the tailgate doesnt stick out as far, and we chopped off the independant front suspension in place of an older solid axel. Front suspension was moved forward 3 inches, rear was moved back an inch. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/ ... GE_168.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/ ... GE_167.jpg It was a bit of a frame off type of project http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v147/ ... e055-1.jpg We like to have fun out here ;-) Some parts got shipped out for the audi... Stub axels for the front and a welded center diff... RWD fun for the summer :cuckoo:
  2. Havent done too much to the car lately. I have been busy working and spending time with the girl. Nathan got off his ass and sent my front wheels finally. The truck is one hell of a machine. Got camber? Also been modding the A6 a bit. H&R race springs, RS6 swaybars, and stereo stuff
  3. They are a classy wheel, but over here I have only seen a few sets. They are et 15 in the rear and 25 up front. My car is a bit of a bastard child for suspension though. I have vr6 plus suspension in the front and the g60 rear beam. There is a vr6 rear beam I am going to put in to get a little wider in the rear. The wheels clearing the beam isn't my issue, with how low I am the beam is hitting the frame rails on the car.
  4. went to the shop with one of the wheels. Thought I would mock them up to see how far I needed to pull the arches I also seem to not have any clearence between the frame and the rear beam now
  5. LOL arches in the rear, fenders in the front... oh wait... you crazy guys call them wings  It has room to go lower! I actually daily drove it for a couple years at that hieght. It is a bit impractical but it got me around Thanks man! Shorter shot than you think. I live less than an hour away from Denver. Let me know when you are here. I will buy a round at the bar 8)
  6. My rear wheels showed up today. Thanks Nathan!!! Sorry to cramp your style bally, but its one hot style I guess we will see what I can pull off for stance ;-) Gotta go beat my fenders out a bit this weekend ;)
  7. fed-ex is a pain.. wheels are supposed to be here today but I have to sign for them. I want my damn wheels already!!!
  8. Doesnt take much. Just a really good degreaser 8)
  9. The wheels are 16x9. Should provide for some fun. Now I need to sell my Mk1 Cabby to fund wheels for the Audi also
  10. I will keep mine stock green. It is just nice getting a late VR6 cluster to match the late dash I have, plus I needed a VR6 cluster for the swap. US Clusters also only go up to 140... it was a good deal I couldnt pass up
  11. Nathan slacks on sending me stuff. But he did send me teaser pics last week Also my cluster from the UK is here :-)
  12. You slack on shipping guy, dont make me drive down there to kick yer ass! LOL at least send me more teaser pics!
  13. they better be in boxes headed towards colorado :norty:
  14. Havent done much on the car. but I did on the other hand pick up a new daily driver: Needs to be lowered and thats about it ;) The 2.7t engine has plenty of go to it!
  15. Oil eater works so well. Looks like you are at least getting somewhere with this finally. Go pull the rest of the wiring out so you can actually get some work done! There is something in the mail for you BTW ;-)
  16. The biggest piece of advice I have for you on the shaved bay is just start on it and don't look back. If you do you will get scared. Remove brackets first, then weld holes. When you get to the raintray call me or wells. We both pulled ours and know some tricks. You can run the wiring behind the dash without having much to lengthen. Are you getting rid of the holes in the firewall or keeping them for wiring?
  17. I have a few more pics I will try to get them up soon. Thanks man :D Love the stance of your car Bally. The wheels look perfect on your car. The owner is Noah, deckmandubs on vwvortex. Great guy. Car is a VR6 with a vortech supercharger and a cogged pulley setup. He did a cross country rally run last year with it His company: http://www.verdictmotorsports.com/
  18. I took over 800 pics when I was there. I flew all the way across the country just to meet up with a buncha corrado nuts and hang out for the weekend LOL. My welds suck, barts welds were good though :D
  19. Just got back from H20i :D Met up with a great group of corrado owners and partied with them all weekend. on the way down Mike passed out while smoking on the balcony... thats right... save the tatas corrado content: Mk5 GTi interior, dash, and engine into a corrado it rained for most of the show... but somehow these guys got out :gag:
  20. If only I liked motorbikes! I'm thinking a really lightweight mk1 golf might do the trick! Got the urge for a lightweight mk1 with big bhp!! I love my Mk1... If I didn't have a corrado project, I would retire the Mk1 from daily driver status
  21. you have been going through cars like I change underwear lately :cuckoo:
  22. Don't watch too closely.. hehe  If I wasn't a good swim away I would love to see this in person. :notworthy: I always love what you end up doing with your projects. So much tallent
