Right so its safest bet to go with G12+ then, is it just Specialist Cars who are the dealers now. I take it this means the car is most likely leaking somewhere, it seemed quite far down.

Where do you get this G12 + or whatever its called, is it main dealer only and absoloutely essential? Read somewhere that you are not meant to use it if something else has been used.

Just checked the tank today and its quite low, did you just top up with water, normally I would just do that but so much talk regading dont use tap water, other coolants and so on. Whats best to do.

So guess my fronts need let down a bit since they are at 37, which is what previous owner had them at. Problem with the garage gauges they always seem to read about 3-4 PSI according to the gauge I use (ITC one)

I ended up taking the other car but will check it once get back or tomrrow, I have only had the car for a short time, drove it 600 miles to get it home and only covered about 200-300 miles in that time. It has never came on before and was serviced at a VW dealer just about 2k ago. You mean it might need the actual water tank replaced, is it £20 from the dealer. I havent put any water in it but have used tap water in other cars with no issues as such.

My cars coolant warning light is not going out when I start the car, it just flashes. I remember reading the manual and it mentions that some cars have auto coolant level monitor. Does the VR6 have this, what is the usual reason for this sort of behaviour with a VR6. Thanks

Yip, the front still comes off. By what method exactly, I haven't really used it much but didnt seem to be clear how it came off. Was scared incase broke it, seemed a bit flimsy.

The VR6 Storm I have has been fitted with a Sony CDX-M670 which I dont believe was the original. It came with a RM-X111 remote, the coulum joystick remote is still there but doesnt work, does anyone know if they are compatible or not and thats why its not hooked up as such? I know the Sony RM-X5S joystick is compatible with this stereo, does anyone know which one was put into the Storms. Also anyone who has owned of these flip down sonys, is there a way to remove the front panel as there was a sony carry case left in car but think might be from the original. Thanks

Surely if standards are meant to be 36/32 or thereabout, 205's on 17's should be the same or slightly more.......or is that not the way to look at it. Also when you say 30/29 works for you what sort of gauge is that checked on?

The standards sound way to high or both in your opinion?

Hope this is the correct place but wonder if someone could advise on what pressures my tyres should be at ideally. It's a Corrado VR6 but has 17" wheels with 205/40's on them. Any ideas, previous owner seems to have had them at 37 front and 30 rear.

What does most VR6's sit at when your stuck in traffic then? Also how long does the fan stay on for after you park up. Is it normal for the fan to stop once you turn the ignition on again but not actually start the car.

Mark works for the company who service our boiler and he was out replacing a flow switch on the Monday, I had just drove the Storm up from south on the Sunday so he was having a look around it and he mentioned yourself as someone has gave the front OS wing a bit of a kick, nothing to bad, also the fog lights cracked on front, he said you would be a good bet if needed stuff maybe. I'm not complaining ;), ideally wanted an M or newer as still have an M** VRG plate on retention, the one I got is a Green, 95 N, with 151k, FVWSH. Has 17" BBS wheels on it, got the originals too but they are a bit scabby and no tyres. The 606 mile drive up the road was a long but enjoyable drive :D ps L140 TSR, have you changed the leads on it, sure they were coloured ones when I viewed it.

Looking sweet, didnt want to spend and arm and leg on a corrado, that one at 1300 would have done me fine. I managed to get a storm at just a thousand more so maybe turned out for the best. Are you the guy who is/was breaking a corrado, did you see Mark from Montrose a few bits and bobs?

It was Glenfarg that bought it just before I got there which was not meant to happen! He had it on trader for 2595 then down to 2295. The couple who were left in charge of the sale on the Saturday knew I was coming but let the guy take it away, make and offer and leave deposit. They announced he was coming just as I called to let them know was en route! If I could have spoke to the mother who was working I think she would have tried to sort it out as I had spoke with her on the Friday evening. She was pissed off, some Indian guys turned up in the evening offering 1k and they sat on doorstep, wouldnt go away, sounded bang out of order. Weird thing was when I got to the address, they allowed me to start it up, check it out, gave me all the paperwork, then announced an offer had been made.....how much I ask....1300...oh and the guy has left a deposit! Well now that's handy, I got a bit pissed off to say the least and buggered off! The electrics on the passenger side one wasnt working when I was there and the Indians had done something to the sunroof as it gave up, also had a weird noise coming from the engine Apart from that lke you say, pretty good motor, I never got as far as road testing it!

Think I know the one, L140 TSR? If so I wanted it ok but not from the garage, there was a feck up by the sellers daughter, she let it go to him when I was on my way down to have first dibs as agreed...£1300 he paid for it. I ended up getting a Storm anyway which was what really wanted, had to pay a little bit more.

its quite a shame tho as the C that donated them was quite a good blank canvas,and I wish I could have justified keeping it,bizarrely enough the C was for sale for a few months and no takers Where was it for sale at, I'm up north and have bene looking, work away a bit though, not looking now though, went south and got one ;)
