Bristolbaron's R32 Corrado - New owner - clumpy1!!!

Sorry Baz. Our kid brother and I stopped for a quick chat with you at Castle Coombe didn't realize who you were. I was fortunate to see what is now the ribena beast (old car) and catch up with Jaded2882 and see the old gal. I am sorry you have to sell as she is stunning, but unless the money situation is desperate have a let go price and don't be tempted. I have always know 889 wouldn't be with me for life as my other has been part of me for 14years and needed some attention. There are buyers out there I although not out-rightly putting the car for sale had people asking every year of my 3 year ownership. You price is very fair for such a lovely looking Corrado with the power to boot. Next time I see thee the chat will be longer. Good Luck with the sale :-) -

Ah that's why you lot had disappeared when we came back round. Good view further round the track, timed the black Skoda going round in a 1.22 which was 4 seconds faster than the Green R8........................... -
Gareth, I would be interested in them both, ready for the blackberry rebuild next year. I will be at Tatton Park this year so we can do the exchange there.

Hya All, I will get to Castle Coombe for about 9ish. Have we got a stand if so I will be there waiting for arrivals. Lets hope there are some nice battles on the track. Bring back the Dialynx v Reeves shoot outs they were epic......................... -
Oh how so few words are oh so true!!!!!!!........... nicely put Matt. Swompy The thing is, you have already spent a good fair wedge on her and we all know once you have had a Corrado there is no going back. It's all about what you want. The hardest decision I have ever had to make was selling 889, but having had 303 for nigh on 13yrs there is no way I could get rid, so 889 was sacrificed, I can now put all my (no sorry Graham can put his skills into making 303 great again). All I want is 303 to look and drive like I bought her in 99. A bit more poke would not go amiss but nothing like 889 gave me. I just want her to feel proud again. If you keep her, cherish her, but ultimately Matt is correct if you want a quick car there are lots of alternative options. If money is not an object; build away but bare in mind it will never give you the return.

I would like to be on the stand but I'll be in the battered daily as I now only have one....... -
Words cannot do this any justice, I second Tatton Park for a v good show to show of this immaculate Corrado to us enthusiasts, especially as I will be visiting ;-) go on go on go on
-
Hya, If your mate has that sort of money to pay for a Corrado then I know who I'd be phoning to make an offer. I recently sold mine, when I put it for sale I thought it would take months, I also knew I had a price I would not go below.

Cheers easy!!!!!............ I don't want you to have it cheap :-) are you able to make Tatton...............do you know I will be a serial storker!!!!!! -
Jim, I bought mine new in 2003 VRS petrol 0% and only £13000, what bargain; that said roughly a £1000 a loss each year................889 sounds comparible now. I wish I was not so attached to my cars then selling or getting rid might be easy but the VRS has been the outstanding buy...............what a car; it does everthing so easily and I have always said if the po po got me it would be in this car as ton up is sooooooo easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blackberry VR6 Turbo 4WD- now for sale £7,800

My last show was at bodelwyddan and our kid brother told me that Sarah (wife) hadn't been in the car so I took her for a blat down the road and she came out with lots of Ok Ok Ok slow down; thanks it's fast -
Alright Andy, Long time no speak. I always had 889 as a toy, 303 has always been my original and I have gone through the trials and tridulations with 303 so she is very much part of me and 889 was the "icing on the cake" but as we all know you would have to be very rich to afford 2 corrado's; because so much love and attention is required. So one had to be sacrificed and as most will testify I have always said 303 was my first love as much as 889 opened my eyes that love affairs although wrong can be ok as long as no-one knows...................so it's time to show 303 how much she means to me.............by the way VRs is now the wifes daily even though it was my present!!!!!!

Nice start to a thread Matt. Glad you enjoyed your journey home, it's funny not seeing it on the drive but as discussed I am so glad it has gone to a very nice chap. When did you first blat passed Isla then..........The bhp, torque might be more than the dyno printout but even on rollers you just never know how accurate they are going to read. Its personal and as you have found out on your journey home there is more than enough to keep you happy at present. On hard acceleration it can pull a muscle :-) -
Fay, Lovely to see the blackberry looking very very good. Ain't seen you for ages, why have I added Matt's quote...........................well he and Isla now own a blackberry, the one that took you up birdlip hill is now at his home the turbo has been sold and the money well it will help the original back to life
-
Yep Jim Matt now owns the Turbo. He took some advice from Graham DG who has obviously looked after 889 during my ownership so he was well happy to go the extra mile. I cannot believe the interest I had with it on pistonheads; I wrote I expected it to be for sale for a while due to the price yet in the 4 days I had 3 genuine enquires. This am I got the local mafia to clean her 5 lads wipe her dry a lot quicker than me they were all over the car and leaving I had to give them a fly by with dump valve blowing off as I passed them, at that point I was going to phone Matt and say don't bother but my great loss has been his gain, I hope it serves him well
-
Is that a "come and offer you some hard earned cash Gareth". 303 isn't going to have lots spent I ain't going down that road but I would like her to look the part again
-
Just to let you guys and girls know 889 has driven off into the sunset today luckily to a forum member so it is still in the fold. Congrats to Matt (Jaded2882) for parting with his hard earned cash. I am glad it has gone to a very nice man and I'll still see her around at the shows. In the not to distant future my original will undergo a new lease of life and become what she deserves a full makeover and a weekender rather than a well used daily.

Hya I would too be v interested on all the badges if they can do it.
