  1. Sorry I was meant to say in the heritage part i.e the history of VW cars
  2. I was up in DG on Saturday and in a round about way discussed this. I think the niche is to small in that not many people know of it. Graham told me that on the offical Volkswagen website in the heritage section they do not mention the Corrado. Are they ashamed? Also due to its price when new I presume that stopped the volume of cars being sold; especially when compared to the prices for the other coupes then Probe, Celica, Calibra. Like most people have said I don't care about the price, when I bought my original it cost me £7.5k with 90k on the clock and one owner. Considering it cost him £26k and was only 5 years old when I got it was a good thing. Now having spent thousands on it and an A4 folder full of receipts I reckon I'd only get tops 2k for it. I think having owned Golfs the Corrado was the natural progression as I got older.
  3. I've got a weird one............................. My original is my daily and needs to get me into work so come rain snow sun she is always on the go..................I then have a 4x4 Corrado which I should drive to work in the snow but I don't :nono: Last year the original did well hump back bridge at Lechlade and cars were sliding everywhere......................1st gear give it some and the original flew over it ok not all good a few miles down the road i was doing a 360, but that was ..........................................fun......................NOT scary it WAS
  4. Pure Class.......................loving this photo :D
  5. Thank you, the orignal although used as a daily still comes up beautiful. god I love Blackberry Corrados :luvlove:
  6. My Dad always calls my Corrado's Scirrocos.........................Graham from DG told me today that the Volkswagen website does not mention the Corrado. What does that say..................responces on a postcard please
  7. Two words........................Very Tidy. Good pictures too look after her :D
  8. Here is one of my pictures showing both cars in one shot. Blackberry shines when clean :D
  9. Yep I in for this defo.
  10. Tidy but i am biased. Looks as though our cars came out round about the same time as mine is L303LWT spooky :norty:
  11. im the same but thats why i said in the OP that if you "had" to what would it be?? your not allowed to keep yours ok  simples i'd get rid of the original and get this: and keep the VRT :norty: :norty: :norty:
  12. Pete.................. I would generally say house. As at such a tender age you could be morgage clear very very early on in life. I'll have cleared the morgage in 2 yrs which is great as then I will leave the mob    , and with the payoff well what car do I choose??????......... as above I did say generally but in your scenario you have to put your job and where you go into perspective. Having been to locations were you are lying on the ground and what happens next taken out of your hands then I'd go for having owned the dream machine if the readies are available, as always this is IMO and therefore subject to being critised for talking out of my :censored:
  13. In the VRT I always start her up 10mins before deployment. Leave her idling on the drive; you never know when you will need the power so always make sure she is warm. No music, the engine gives me all the tunes I need :D I always in both cars when I come to a stop look in rear mirror to see any reaction from the car behind when the spoiler goes down :cuckoo: In the original. Switch on and hope and pray I see the ABS light flicker and go off. Drive off straight away but wait till the magic 80 deg oil temp arrives before I boot it. Almost every day now look at her and tell her she will have a big makeover soon and she will be back to how she was when I first fell for her. I always when having last cigarette at the front of the house go round all 3 cars and touch the bonnets and wisper something about how much I cherish them in there own sweet way and especially with the original how we will never part :luvlove:
  14. I like doing the same. :norty: But other than the beer tester bit. I also looked at you members gallery and sorta got caught in a time warp. Nice blackberry but that was in 2006..................how has she / he developed. Do you still have?
  15. Madness. I don't even think its worth the 5K that 5th Gear spent. Besides for 1.50 you could win the one they are offering at the moment and its RED
  16. 1) I save my mates dog when I was 12. The dog was tied up on a door handle outside and got excited about something and fell off a wall hanging himself. I gave him a bit of heart massage and a slap and he splutted back to life :D 2) I enjoy fine food and was in "The Ledbury" the night in got its 2nd Michelin Star and as it was my 40th I got my menu signed by the Head Chef. 3) I once drove Princesses Anne's Simitar GTE.
  17. We all pamper them. With 36,000 on the clock though I know if I bought it I would seriously start uppin that milometer. It has to be done :D I'd be of the ilk that 5-6k would be a v.good price for an immaculate tidy Corrado. Baring in mind that the C does suffer from the same problems most average mileage cars have had all these rectified by owners yet this would have all those to come. To the right individual though you could get 7 ish; ideally you need 2 defo's to help price. But like everyone else on here Show us the Pics
  18. Well done bro    . It has only taken you 11 years since you let me buy my original blackberry  . Good luck and I can't wait till you come down in it then there will be 3 Vr's on my drive. :luvlove:
  19. It will say 6/7 as they always have a best of to end which is a bit bizarre as we have only just finished watching it :cuckoo: . Also not to make the presenters bad as I do think they are tops but seeing Stig in the XR3i going through the carwash that definatley looked like an RS Turbo. (unless like most it had been a XR3i and chaved to look turbo) I was also not very happy seeing the Golf Mk1 appear after what they had done to the XR3i(RS Turbo), AX GT, and the Astra GSI. They semi looked in good nick which made their comments on the scrappage deals a bit worthless as they had just killed 3 cars
  20.   . Nice to see you are back up and running.
  21. Top show last night. Snag is we now have two yanks top of the leader board. YK were are you?
  22. Welcome back kur2y glads you enjoyed your away time.
  23. Amen to that one. I love the C and in some aspects don't care that modern hot hatches are on par as the aforementioned car where individuals and the current crop all share with each other. I too would love a go in an UR quattro; a few years back I drove an E type for a couple of days round dumfries and galloway and it lived up to all the things I hoped it would be. Would never own one but it can be marked of a list of cars before you die. :D
  24. At last Kip. good find must admit I had looked at that one and thought how nice it was.
  25. Welcome to the wonderful world of Corrado ownership.
