What aircraft type would you like to end up in.................if you want time off try getting on any of the transport fleet as they are permanently on the ground  . I chose the easy option and bought ready made, well sort of as I am now upgrading the upgrade :cuckoo:

:confused4: As it's a 90's coupe then it just shows that Blackberry is the best Colour.
-
well done you are now converting the Corrado to the best combo Blackberry and beige. Good Luck with the changeover

It seems the logical approach, I wonder if they have a limitless colour scheme. I presume your original bodywork would have to be in tiptop nick to.

Anyone heard of this company or better still had any work done by them. I got to hear about them when I was reading this months EVO mag. One of the editors got his Nissan GTR coloour wrapped in purple looks very good and at 1800 quid for the full car cheaper than a respray. I also think our Corrado's bold lines would make their job easy. Below are links to the company and a youtube video showing them transform a red ferrari F430 spyder into a stealth black one. The process looks simple and you end up protecting your original paintwork. http://www.fxuk.net They are also authorised reps for badging including VW's so I have asked what pricing they could do for the Corrado badges, hinted that as we were a big forum if the price was good there would be lots of interest

Anyone thinking of going the ph sunday service?
ozowen replied to lycara's topic in General Car Chat
I agree; I saw it on pistonheads and thought it would be good but I think I'll just stick to the Corrado events as I know the people turning up all have a genuine interest and so far I have enjoyed meeting fellow Corrado owners; you are a good bunch -

Yes he does and for a very very long time. I now have everything in a one'r. My original which started my love of C's and as much as I loved it to bits I sometimes thought about other faster cars RS2, RS4. Then one night I look on Pistonheads by chance near my birthday and see the beast so I take a hire car one way and 2 hours later drive the beast to Harrogate to stay for my birthday (what a present and it was only my 39th one)  I need to remember to look after my old one though; knowing how dear they can be to look after why have I got 2 :cuckoo: :cuckoo: -

I didn't take it as a dig :D . I am very very open to ideas and comments and I defo agree with the boot issue and the tank I would love to have an original but thats nigh on impossible due too the 4 wheel drive. I will have to look how the Golf Rallyes did their tanks. Again not being technical but due to the drivetrain would converting to 5 stud compromise things. The underlying issue aswell is the BBS LM's, how could I let them go  -

Agree with the fuel tank in the boot. Why anti the change to 4 stud; I wold prefer 5 stud but I don't see what differance it makes bar for choice of rims etc. After I get the brakes done the next development will be a suitable gearbox to cope with the torque and possibly different ratios. God that almost sounded as if I knew what I am talking about :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :help: people might start to think I am technical. The good thing as you mentioned is that it has had 7 years development so should be pretty solid. Tim reckons it's only on tick over with the power it developing at present. Thats true, I don't think he ever got to drive it though as I believe that he became disillusioned by the amount of time it took to develop :confused4: -

Speaking to the guy I bought it off, the guy that commissioned the work spent in excess of 30k for labour and the parts. Also when I took it to the Phirm to chat with Tim about the brake upgrade he spent about 4 hours scanning round the car and agreed with said costings :gag:  so the price I paid suddenly becomes good value :pale:  -

On a boring night in work I was looking through the general car chat and came across this. Good to see that the car thats in my drive now was talked about on this forum many moons ago. I'd definately agree with the wolf in sheeps clothing. She had her first outing today after about 7 weeks under a cover bar for 1 trip to the garage. overtook a truck on an A-road and went to change gear then realised I was in fifth already so much power even in top. Have to thank the original though as she lent her sis some battery juice     -
Is there something wrong with yours then as within 5 mins of mine running it's like a sauna. I don't think I have been in any other car thats has blowers which are hotter
-
Looking as good as the first time I clocked the thread. Your paintwork is sublime   .

As soon as I saw the photo I thought Ur quattro. Could be wrong
-
And it always lands on the mirror and window switches  Totally agree with these comments. I also love the speedline alloys, I think they really suited the car. Also agree with the heaters, regardless of the weather and how much frost is on the screens I just turn the car on hit 4 on the blowers and wait while the magic happens. By which time the seat is also nice and toasty. :D

Thanks more to go as I trawl through the history. Forgot about the noise :cuckoo: . Remember taking our kid bro in the Corrado; first time he'd been in it for years and he commented on how the V6 still sounded so good on song.
