  1. Mine is quite short as I tend to love my cars. Vauxhall Cavalier 1.9 GL (DCA469s) Vaxuhall Cavalier 2.0L (hated it so can't remember plate) Ford Escort XR3 (BMJ118X) Ford Fiesta 1.1 Ghia (Wifes) Ford Fiesta XR2 (E270NHY) Peugeot 309 SRI (Wifes) Mk2 Golf GTI 8v (H821JAJ) Mk2 Golf GTI 16v (J115PPE) Corrado VR6 (L303LWT) Skoda VRS (WX03YSF) Corrado VR6T (L889LFR) And I am nearly 40, and been driving since I was 17. God I need to start buying cars I've missed out
  2. This is quite interesting. I am doing a 36 mile round trip all on A roads and I am seeing 350 miles to the tank with some to spare. I have seen the MPG read 36.4 but it is gentle driving. Never ever seen 40+, I reckon I'd have to push it to get that figure  . On average I probably return 28-30mpg. Worst ever was being late for work and I covered the journey on song in third gear for most of it as I was using the torque to get passed everything. My MFA showed 11mpg for that journey :norty: :cuckoo:
  3. Like the tints; got worried when I saw the during photo was thinking oh my god :nono: but the final pic "suits you sir". Looks good with the colour

    Wing Mirrors

Gentlemen, Been looking through the exterior thread but couldn't find an answer so here is the question. On my drivers side is a stick on replacement glass and I want to put an original and clear one inside instead Are you able to dismantle a wing mirror to fit a new glass. Been looking at mine and it looks as if it comes apart but I am loathe to doing this without a defo yes. Would hate to pull apart to find it won't go back together. Any help would be much appreciated. My biggest problem usually is I break things rather than fixing them :brickwall: :brickwall:
  6. Ok just spent the last few days travelling the UK to stay in a couple of hotels for the anniversary. Two spots first seen travelling South on the M6 near Wallsall on Thursday about midday, red corrado. Second on the way home dark corrado M530UCP i think heading North on the M6; Birmingham area
  7. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Sorry folks nothing would come out; speechless. The world is full of different people with different takes, luckily them type stay away from our beloved Corrado's but occasionally they get through  :brickwall: . Whatever it is on the bumper I think it has to a relevance to the number plate 666. I have to say one more thing :epicfail:
  8. Have to re-think my comment. Was going to say "have you got down from the clouds, after your 16v produced all them ponies" but obviously you have. Nice to have met you both and hopefully will see you around at future events.
  9. How about this http://www.dgautotech.com/dgauto/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=90&Itemid=76
  10. Well Done Faye. I will have to have a passenger ride in your car today; my original wants suspension work done to it so it would be good to see how bosun rides :norty: :norty:
  11. Brilliant work; only wish I had a tenth of your knowledge and skill
  12. Mine did the same coming back from work, but she is good and didn't properly let go until I was near home. Did take almost 3 litres to get her to the garage the next day and its only 5mins away
  13. Totally agree; I can see the logic in keeping them as weekend cars etc but imo I like nothing more than driving her :cuckoo: . Once the new VRT has had its brake upgrade she will be used frequently but not for the daily commute too short a journey.
  14. You've been twice.........what about your fellow Corrado collegues, next time you get some they should be donated to me   . I tried for 3 years to get on there...........
  15. On the way into work today travelling along the A361 the 160K came up as I neared Lechlade, I patted the dashboard and then as I got to a set of traffic lights at the bridge the lights turned red. I stopped the car stalled; started again and carried on with a smile on my face (still got the gremlins)
  16. Received mine on friday. Quality product and instructions all make sense. Weather is good so guess what i am doing today Cheers Zak
  17. Agree. The amount of water they hold is immense and imo totally outclasses a chammy
  18. Loads and LOADS of fake notes going round the area I work at the moment. I went and bought a second hand motorbike from a guy last year. Withdrew £4000 in cash directly from the bank, turns out £80 was forged notes when the guy went to pay it in. Thankfully the guy just let it go and trusted that I wasn't scamming him but just beware - you can easily be fleeced with cash. Walk away I would, unless he can give you a secure bank transfer.
  19. Was going to start a similar thread when I got to 160K which will probably be tomorrow. It is now being used as a daily and I am falling in love all over again. Drive conservatively to work to get good MPG, and managed to see 345miles before having to refuel. Occasionally though its nice to blat it (like today  ) don't get to work any quicker but my its a lot more fun. VRT is 0n 98k, and engine about 4500miles.
  20. Not quite today but on Saturday treated the original to a 3 stage meguilars clean. Very shiny at the end ( hopefully won't need to spend loads of time on it when it comes to the RR day at Stealth) also took the stupid aero blades off and refitted normal bosch ones (aero blades to noisy). Now waiting for the headlight loom, foglight and mirror to arrive via post thanks to the sellers on here. I have to seriously get the car resprayed now as cleaning it has justed showed how stone-chipped the front end is. :(
  21. Where was it found........anyone know?..............why the storm badges............not that thats a worry as they will probably be in top nick there's a £100 in badges
  22. Totally agree........ I see people are putting their Corrados in for the winter were I can't wait for the first bit of snow to see how the VRT 4x4 runs. As for the find its a blackberry so as no-one has done it yet 1st dibs on it................. :norty:  beat you all.................
  23. The Last Shadow Puppets for me at the moment. Just downloaded Paris Summer live by them and it has to be song of the year. Also liking Black Eyed Peas new one " Meet me Halfway" and for some reason recently I downloaded some Chris De Burgh classics (not Lady in Red) before anyone asks :cuckoo:
