  1. Are we able to use last years tickets for this or are they providing new ones? I will be there.
  2. Sounds like you have had a bit of a mare.............but glad to see it hasn't worn you down. Will hopefully see you this show season hopefully with MELD the latest Corrado as long as Graham gives it back to me
  3. Buy a kindle fire HD for surfing etc, cheaper than I-Pad, ok not so many apps but how many do you need. Then buy a cheapish laptop for the stuff that tablets aren't great for. An acer, asus are good value and as both are providers of the internals cheaper but with same spec of samsung Sony vaio etc.
  4. I to love 911's..........wife does not. Unfortunately I also like the exclusivity of the Corrado I see a 911 almost every day a Corrado never except for shows.............for me that is so much better and considering you can still have fun in a C game over...............that said across the road from me sits a Audi S4 and every morning I hear its V8 and think if I blow it up I can have one on my drive...................
  5. this isn't about the speed............................my vrt was awesome but for the price I should have bought a RS4...................which was built for speed but heart ruled head and buying a car that was destined for 190BHP and rebuilt to house 500BHP.......................it was always going to be problematic; but my god it was FUN..........................
  6. Capri's where special to.................................before I bought BMJ (see above) I test drove an 80,000 mile black 2.0S 4 speed only reason guy was selling he'd found a one owner Capri 2,8i Special the last of them (Brooklands version had leather, I can be corrected not googled) took it for a spin with kid bro flew up a hill in third and saw a taxi ready to turn right he then did with black capri boring down on him, a slam of the brakes and a rear view mirror of 3,000 miles of thread lost and a return of the car to trader with a I'll think about it :-).............and a 5 minute wait for heart to return to normal. I used to see a Mk1 black 1300 supersport fiesta (fettled with) near where I lived and wished he'd sell it to me.............it was a beaut
  7. Unfortunately I haven't yet.............used to be a regular at Stanford Hall for the Fast Ford show.................my first "hot hatch" was BMJ 118X sunburst red Escort XR3 I loved it.................................bought about 1990 and traded it in for £500 quid in about 93 for E270NHY rosso or radiant red Mk2 XR2 so wish I'd just taken my credit card out and taken both cars when trader offered me that £500.........................how much could it be now................ ---------- Post added at 9:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:48 PM ---------- It was fantastic.......................................I wonder if someone on here wrote a letter about my poorly used daily Blackberry Corrado............................maybe series 2 could feature.......................anyone fancy the sob story It is a brilliant series and I recommend everyone that has missed this to find it or download it (legally of course) and WATCH
  8. Sorry if this has been advertised on here. Anyone watching this new series, a better version of Wheeler Dealers. Tim and Fuzz go round the UK restoring classic cars. Last episode featured a Sierra Cosworth (no boo's) I quite like old fast fords but am very definitely a VW man. Class bit when they took the car for MOT acting all chavy............................................a thousand times better than Wheeler Dealers IMO
  9. I agree with most, it is all about the fitter. I recently had my original repalced and the fitters were superb. Unfortunately I am from Swindon so it's to far for you. I remember years ago having to replace it and I went to Autoglass and they made a horrendous job. You could see the sealant on the inside, well unhappy then about 3 days later I was changing the wipers and I touch the arm and it sprung down and put a crack in the new one Another call to insurers but this time Auto Windscreens was chosen and they did a grand job......
  10. Speak to Graham at DG........I don't know who he uses but our kid bro saw a Blackberry that had been done and he reckons it was fantastic. In fact depending when you are getting it done might be able to show you pics of mine as MELD is with Graham at mo and is having a respray on the front while up there.
  11. Put me down Swompy. Meld is up at DG at the moment getting work done, she might be back with me for then if not I'll turn up in the shabby daily.
  12. I am spoilt. I have a 94 daily VR with 180k on the clock and a 95 for the shows with 90k...................it will remain a 2nd car unless 303 dies...
  13. Just a quick post about a new event taking place. Originally it was meant as a Mk2 Golf meet but with a link on facebook it looks like it has now turned into a general vag gathering. Post code for the meet is WR8 0HW its the pavilion car park there's been a bit of interest so hopefully there will be a god turnout in a picturesque village / town with easy access from the motorway network http://www.facebook.com/events/400674973351136/ Any takers Unable to check the link as I am in work and also not part of the facebook generation
  14. Welcome to the forum, I too reside in Wiltshire just up the road from you in Swindon and a blackberry owner.
  15. Welcome to the forum car looks nice and clean. They do get under the skin, now you have got one you will find a million and 1 scenario not to get rid when problems arise. 14 years of daily driving and I still enjoy every moment
  16. No I am not up early for Santa, sat in work. Merry Christmas to one and all. Lets hope the weather stays good for the 2013 shows.
  17. I have to admit I like the forum but I not being that technical find myself as more of a reader than post'er, in the early days I seemed to be replying for replying sake then slowly but surely I stopped unless I thought it was pertinent to the thread. I always pay my £10 suscription to the CCGB and believe its good value but chatting with Cazza at the highjacked pistonheads meet (which is a very good venue) about the two lists, this would be tops and allow the stands to be filled each time.
  18. Exactly what happened with mine. I drove home took the wiring loom off and it sailed through.
  19. So who is venturing to AV8 tomorrow then. Cazza remember to bring a couple of tax disk holders for me please.
  20. Matt, I am gutted it has happened again. I think I became so worried after doing it the first time when the box was rebuilt in 1st & 2nd gear I was extremely careful only really going once 3rd gear was reached. It was in 2nd and going for it on my both occasions. Lets hope it's not to bad. I must say if it had happened to me again then I would have researched the possibility of a derv box from something or gone quaife. Good luck matey
  21. Cazza, I am a CCGB member and I cannot find my tax disk holder was going to use it on meld. Can I get another one pretty please
  22. Glad you have had a good deal for the car. A lot of good Corrado's seem to be heading up North at the moment. At least you still have a C for berkeley castle at the end of the month.
  23. Tidy motor shame we will never see it in the flesh. You will have to keep the vids coming. I owned a 4x4 corrado turbo still on here jaded2882 has her now http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?44113-Blackberries-Corrado-Turbo-4x4&highlight=Blackberries
  24. Yep print it out and send a SAE. Still haven't had the ticket yet though Sent from my iPad but blackberry is still No1
