I've always wanted to try a standard G60 to compare to my VR6. Anyone in the Dagenham area?
-
If they will. Would 10mm leads fit in the engine covers spaces for them?
-
Blind people reversing into VR6's get's !!Funnier!!

OMG You have been busy. Must agree with you though, they are quite minging. -
So what did you do to your C over the bank holiday??

I just sort of looked at her. Had no bumper on the front so I haven't been driving her around. Still as per previous posts work has begun. -
I did say take your time. I don't use my C as a daily driver anymore. I'd rather get a proper job than a rushed one. Although my friends took 5ish days and came out excellent. Real high quality. Only prob is, the who did it has now moved so I couldn't use him.

Not sure at the mo. Depends on what I add to the list. Won't have it for Inters though. But I'll have it back for the summer. If all goes well I'll be able to recommend a good bodyshop in Dagenham.

Welcome to the forum. Whereabouts in Essex are you?
-
Finally got my C into the bodyshop this morning. Was just giong to have my bumpers repainted but I think I'm gonna do some more. I'll post up some pics as and when I can. Thinking along the lines of smoothing out the tailgate and bumpers. Removing the side strips and maybe some A4 door handles. What do you reckon? P.S. Does anyone know of a heel refurb place in the East London/ Essex area?

Welcome to the forum. Nice car, very clean. The place looks superb. Just looking out of window at the rain and wind. Feeling even worse now. Have fun.

Kylie for me. If she was busy (yeah right, she'd make time for me) I'd go for Christina Aguilera. Although she might just distract me. Could go for an ugly bird, at least I'd concentrate on the driving. Forget that, could't do it to myself.

Welcome to the forum mate. Hope you have trouble free miles of smiles.

Thanks. Luckily it's just the bumper and no metal parts to sort. I have thought about that. Maybe flushing the number plate area and meshing out the bottom part of it. Possibly putting some crystal style lights in as well. Gonna have to do some research on the cost's involved and then decide. I'll let you know what I decide.

Looked at that already. Looks a bit tasty that one. Any others worth a mention? Although I am leaning toward that one though. Are you changing the rear as well? :?: :?:

Last night a white van man managed to rip my front bumper of the car. As I was pulling out of a turning the bloke drove straight across the front of me as if I wasn't there and hit my bumper. He didn't stop just carried on and ripped it clean of the car. Fortunatley upon inspection there would appear to be no damage to the car except the bumper. Now the real question is, do I go for standard replacement or do I modify it?? My car is standard bar a set of 17's and a mesh grill. Whatcha think I should do. P.S. Any links you know to websites that sell C bumpers would be great. I can have a nose around then.

I'm with Henny on this. Go for a bright finish, balck makes the wheels look far to small. You could paint them and put a diamond cut edge on them. Might be interesting.

What about a Pug 309 GTI. Cheap as and great fun to drive. Make sure it's a good one. Expensive to fix. I'd get a mk2 fezza. Got one for my girlfriend for £50 and it's never let us down. Unlike my VR6 which hasn't fired up yet this tear. She will be fixed soon though

Can anyone help me with the readings I should be getting off my CPS. Pin 1 of the CPS appears to go to earth, pins 2 & 3 appear to trip the sensor when the crank passes. Is this correct??? Also, anybody know what the resistance / voltage should be accross pins 2 & 3 when the crank's there and not??? Thanks in advance.
-
Cheers will keep that in mind. I still can't belive how easy most things are to replace on these cars though. Nothing like my 205 or 309.

I've managed to find a friend with ford discount, (I do live in Dagenham). A Galaxy one costs in region of £60. At that price I'll change it for piece of mind. Do these sensors have a habit of failing or are they generally quite good. I mean could there be a reason for this sensor and my cam sensor about 12 months ago giving up the ghost? Or is it just bad luck?
-
I've heard rumors about part sharing with the galaxy. thanx stormseeker I'll shall try that.
-
I found out it's my crank postion sensor. Anyone know where I can get one or if there is any simple tests I can use to check the loom?
-
Not the P word. Next thing you know you'll be putting it back to standard ride height because it's more comfortable and not as bumpy as it is now. I agree about the speakers, I had Kenwood componet set-up in the front but didn't really like the sound. Changed them for MB Quarts. They seem to have must better staging. Have a listen to different types and go for the one that sounds the best to you.

One of my friends did a few years back. Traced to a permanent live somewhere. Everyone I know who has one are generally not impressed. More to do with the fitters than the alarm itself I imagine.
