As far as I'm aware the immobiliser only cuts out the starter motor. I'll get it looked at on Mon hopefully. Any other ideas??

My '93' Vr won't start. The car is turning over but there is no spark. I've tested the HT leads and they're working fine. Question. Are the coil packs (no dizzy) a problem area and does anyone have wiring diagrams for the ignition I could have a look at so I can see if I have a short anywhere. Thanks in advance for any help. Got to get it B4 Xmas.

I had the mask mini-disc player. I no probs with it. Had it for about 2yrs. Would still have it had it not been for some theiving bastids. I had heard of that prob, luckily never reared it's ugly at me. The Alpine sounds alot better in all areas though.

I've got an Alpine CDA-9815RB MP3 unit. Sounds tens times better than the kenwood mini-disc player I had in previously. Once I got the time alignment right the sound staging is excellent. I wasn't too sure about it but now I've got it I'm well pleased.

Hate those ones. It starts off as a 20 min job and 5 hrs later you're still there wondering why VW made it so difficult to do anything.

5 1/4 inch should fit no probs. I've 51/4 mb quarts straight forward fitting. You also have tweeters in the dashboard. I replaced the lot with a mb quart componet set-up. Mid woofer and separate tweeter.

i've toyos t1-s on my vr. much better than the goodyear f1's i had on before. will def get another set. i'm running on 17's though.

I'd like black by day and night dials. Not a fan of white dials. Not really worried about the rest. Like the UV needles should look good. Or should that be, proper Bo :lol:

I was told with the weight of the VR lump to run at approx. 36psi on the front with around 30-32psi in the rears. Seems fine to me. I've not had uneven tyre wear from it. Not sure about the four pots, they don't weigh as much in the front and therefore wouldn't as much pressure. For what it's worth. 8)

I had mine glued down with windscreen bond but it still managed to fall off. Whilst I was on the outside lane of the M25. Didn't go back for it. Next one I get will be screwed in properly. I don't trust any type of bonding. None has worked for me.

I'd love to do it. Only prob is that the other half isn't quite as careful as me opening the door. :(

I prefer super+ to optimax. My VR feels alot smoother with super+ in. I won't use anything else if I can avoid it.

I wasn't impressed by Optimax. I prefer Superplus from my local Esso. Runs much better than the Optimax.

My friend called my last car, pug 309gti, Emanuelle, French and dirty he said. Not sure what he's called my C. The other half calls it the bumpiest car she's been in. Haven't told her it's adjustable yet. If I tell her now she'll kill me.

I'd be interested in a heat shield as well. I think one exists for the G60 induction. Not sure if it can be used for the VR though. Any know if this is the case??
