well as your so profficient perhaps you could come over and drop mine out then fella? :) lovely
-
the thing that worries me is that i decided to try and swerve round him rather than slam the anchors on - because of the kids. might be hard to explain?
-
thats it for me. gonna get a 500 squid polo and put the C on a classic insurance policy.
-
me too :) how the fek do they repair a gouged wheel arch anyway??
-
its always a case of having to prove it though mate. and i can't. i swerved round him and oulled back in to avoid an on-coming car (!) so my left rear caught his front right.
-
i was driving with my two young kids in the car mate. he pulled straight out in front of me when i was doing 40 so i had to try to go round him, but he went into my back rear. i was not even vaguely impressed as the kids were in there. i let him know ;) insurance will undoubtedly be 50/50 payout so there goes my no-claims. :(

Anyone know how repairable a badly dented, ripped and scraped rear wheel arch is? Some dumb ass taxi driver has just hit my C and it looks minor but serious if you know what i mean. Nasty gouges to the arch, back bumper off its mounting and damaged, and one mint speedline fekked :( It's the arch that worries me...... (pics in morning) edit: sh*t pics but as you can see its right across the crease of the wheel arch. anyone know if that can be repaired or is it a cut out job???
-
i clearly have a far heavier right foot than you then mate. but what do you mean you've managed 42mpg while taking it easy in 5th across town? thats not a journey. do you mean you reset your maf after you've started the journey?? i would have to drive like the pope to get those sort of figures. and thats just not me i'm afraid. i bought my vr to rag. plain and simple. thats why i went for a 2.9 :) edit: a typical journey (to the office): 4 miles in town/40 mph limit. 60 miles on the motorway. 28 mpg.

was it black mate? gotta get spotted soon! :( -
MAFs might lie mate but empty petrol tanks don't! I know for sure mine averaged about 24 exactly as the MAF said - if not it was leaking onto the road somewhere. Not sure why golf vr6s are worse than rados, but i've heard a few people say the same :)
-
my golf vr is much thirstier than the rado vr. the goluf returned about 24 averge. maybe 23. and thats with loads of long journeys too!
-
excellent. he definately aint shy! the roads round here are a bit like that at rush hour ;)
-
ouch. sounded good before it went though
-
sounds like chewy and han should be driving

NjA666, sounds sweet mate. that's gotta be a K&N on there? like the name - i was thinking of getting a 666 reg plate.
-
excellent. sounds like a space ship. i heard thats it's useable power band is something like 4000 to 5000 revs! in a race car! how chilled is that.
-
looks cool mate. snappy name too. good luck fella
-
other end of the country mate unfortunately. and i want to learn myself for two reasons: 1. i've seen monkeys who know more about mechanics than me 2. don't want to pay anyone! gaz the geezer - thanks fella. on both counts! mind you, at your age (113?) i think the journey may be a bit much for you ;) (you may just get a desperate pleading pm at some point in the future!)
