Well next year I'll be running German plates.... but then again I'll be in Germany so I guess that's fine ;)
-
Stupid as hell....... always was. I bought a numberplate years ago for my wife.... M11 NX0 it means nothing.... unless you print the plate as M11NX O Point and case... if it was sold as it spells M11NX then it should be able to spell M11NX else I want my £250 back for goods being unfit for the use in which they were intended.
-
That just goes to prove that they overcharge.... as if it was that much work no way they'd have forgotten to put it on the bill ;)
-
Well looks like no German sites have this... trust me I've looked T_T
-
Looks like problem is solved.... For some reason the German spoiler control is setup differently. With the 590Kohms it raises at over 80mph still. So back to the drwing board I guess...

There's a German ebay seller doing the JVC DV5101 for roughly £175 delivered to the UK. Full UK spec unit, and lots of good feedback on a few forums as well as ebay. So I'm going for one of those I recon..... Plays MP3's from DVD

For a car owned by somebody called Rich Chavacci I was expecting at lease some blue neons or some more bling.....
-
Mine does this sometimes as well..... not sure why but I've still got to go through all what you've done. Be interesting to know what it finally is though...
-
Well mine was coming up at about 80mph.... which was pretty useless. I guess that's because mine was a German import. So removed it, replaced the resistor with one from Maplins and nothing. Apparently the 1% resistors aren't available from them so they just give you 5% ones. Got a friend of mine to get 590kohms 0.25w 1% resistor and soldered it on.... now nothing. The spoiler goes up and down correctly with the switch, but not at all at any speed (upto about 80mph). Redid the solder about 4 times and nothing still. Any idea ?

The ultimate weight saving plan for your car

If somebody did that to a C, I'd cry..... -
My Dad bought a new Golf plus, and I have to say those seats are so bad I'd have asked for a refund..... The C seats are the best I've ever sat in. Even after 8 hours of standing at G-werks the 3 hour drive home relaxed me in that seat. I'd stick with the C and get a little run around as well. Although for me my C is a run around O.o;

When will it end? Man killed by thieves in his OWN car!

.. and people ask my why I want to move to Austria.... Hanging's too good for them. -
The G60's had optional ABS..... but you have to be lucky to find one.
-
Pity about the crossover... I'd rather have the old exterior and the new interior
-
Welcome to the family... Just came onboard myself after buying a cheap G60. I think you can get a G60 with late styling, I believe 92 was the changeover year so you get some that are half and half. After that it's all late styling. Although personally I like the early styling exterior myself. Just a personal preference. My G60 was getting about 34mpg on the last motorway trip... but I had to treat it with kid gloves as it was straight after a full charger rebuild.

Thanks everybody for your help with such a stupid (yes I'm not good with cars yet) problem..... Once I loaded the pic I thought that's what it was, but thought I'd made enough of a fool of myself so I'd leave the answers to the pro's Thanks again :D
-
Ok.. *Runs out into the cold with no shoes to take more pics....* How about these...
-
Ok, so here's the pictures.... not sure what I'm looking for but the first pic looks promising.... ;)

I'll be a member if I ever get a reply to my email.... so not sure when that will be  -
Well just got my components... Also just won a ebay auction for a JBL GT10 sub.... so now it's only the final choice of standard box/custom box.
-
I thought the early golf ones where the same. Do you have the standard switch or the one that has the motorised adjustments ? Edt: I mean Golf not gold.... but you probably guessed that already O.o

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Talked to a friend who's sorting me out the right resister for my spoiler system. Found the ones the morons at Maplin sold me was completely wrong.... Must remember to laugh at them next time I zoom passed.... -
Galaxy O.o; Oh dear indeed..... Don't suppose anybody has a spare stealth bass box they can sell me do they ? Thoughts not..... ;_;
-
Well I was heavily leaning towards the JVC for the DVD mp3 feature...nice to just put in one disk and let it run and run ;) Although I've had an alpine and loved the customisations on it. Very configurable to your car which was nice. Pity about the car it was in, but what the hell ;) Well if I'm spending £40 on a box without a sub it better be something good. After all I can get a 22.5L one off ebay for about £25 delivered to my door....
-
Hmm, very useful comment.... I was worried about buying a nice sub then finding it rocking it's way across my boot all the time. I'll head down to Halfauds as soon as I have a spare moment (possible weeks away at this rate) How much are they ripping you off for them these days ? Anybody know......
