Received wing mirrors today - thnx :)
-
thnx - might be still be available outside of norway (as here vw have a "local to norway" importer that runs all vw shops here - and they might take out parts from their sortement before they are "unavailable" worldwide) - and in Norway the Corrado hardly ever sold new (I think only a couple of them came thru the dealer) - the rest is imported at a later point in time :)

That's correct - but on the new one the o-ring have been pulled back onto the round part of the plastic housing, so it will seal against the body - on the old the o-ring seem to sit in the gap between the plastic housing and the plastic ring - so was just wondering what is "correct" :) IE - Does the o-ring seal against the body itself or should it go inside?.

Just bought a new cam position sensor, and I notice the o-ring is all the way back on the sensor, so when inserting it the "o-ring" will seal against the engine "body", and not go inside the hole for the sensor - on the old sensor it seem like it have been sitting inside, does anyone know how it's supposed to sit ?. Is the fuel pump a "known" problem on the VR6 (hot start problem)
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
Anyone ever heard of a repair kit for this ? (a hose with a valve on it), and eventually know the part number?. (Got info from a german forum that such a kit was made due to problems) -
Is it just me or is the Corrado "on par" with newer cars ?
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in General Car Chat
To me the Corrado absolutely feel on "par" - but then again I do a lot of driving on "country" roads - lots of "turnings"....;) -
Just seen a "stop motion" video - 00:14 Corrado spotted....lol....:)

I don't drive my Corrado very much, as I only use it as a "summer car" (We use a lot of salt and **** on our roads causing rust so the C stays at home during winter) - so my "Daily driver" is a 06 Passat 3.2 V6 (VR6) 4 motion. BUT when I take out the Corrado I kinda find it "on par" with the Passat, when it comes to things like the "feeling of speed", I actually think I feel the sense of speed more in the Passat then the Corrado, and was just wondering what other people think - is it still on par with newer cars or is it just me ? :) My Corrado is pretty stock vr6 with KW1 suspension.

Got a tips on another forum that hot start problems could be related to fuel pump problem - does anyone know if this is a "known" problem on the VR6, and if there is any way to test if this problem is present or not?. They where talking about a valve not beiing able to hold pressure. But if that's the case - why would it still work fine when cold ? (mine always starts but takes some cranking before starting when warm)

Is relay 167 same as relay 67 ? (Bentley states relay "67" for fuel pump)
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
Mine is 167 - troubleshooting the hot start problem I have so was just wondering - Any idea if Immobiliser might cause one to have to crank the car more when hot then when cold ? - or should that be fine if the cold start is fine ?. (A bit "offtopic" but just thought I'd add it here :)) -
I think there is a few fuses on the fan-control module in the engine compartment, and I *think* actually there is a fuse or two hidden in the back of the instrument cluster - not sure what they are for though. And doubt the fuses on the fan-control module is to blame - but never hurts to check though :) Fan control module:

If it's the load reduction relay I think it's the one stamped "18", and located in position 4:
