Yea this is in Norway, so those should be out of a Corrado :) btw - are the Corrado recaro seats good seats ? (I think the cloth ones I already have is quite good - but AFAIK not Recaro's - atleast they don't have Recaro logo in back)....
-
Been thinking about getting some Recaro's for my Corrado VR6 - and saw some come up localy - any idea about what would be a rough "OK" price to pay for such things. These would need refurbishment as the leather are not very good - I would say a full refurb is needed. These are half fabric/half leather type of seats. Also price of full leather recaro's would be nice to know.

Any of you guys Commdore/C64/Amiga guys back in the days?

definitely better times I have to say (maybe we'r just getting old haha (77 model myself) - but can't imagine computing is same type of "fun" today......even though I'm still interested in computers and such......just seem much more fun back in the days....:) -
Take a look in my old thread here: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=82988 If it's related to hot start only - this surely might be the problem - I tried lots of things before trying this (with an ebay non-return valve - make sure it's the correct size) - never had any start problems after this fix.... I didn't cut the original line - only got some fuel hose, put the non return valve on and connected the original line onto the valve.

Personally still owns a few of these machines and use them from time to time - but was wondering if there is any of you other Corrado guys out there that where Commodore guys back in the days when computing where fun :) Any fond memory's feel free to share.....:) Personally had a great day when I exchanged a 486DX2-66+vga monitor pc for a Amiga 4000+1942 Monitor :) lol....(in the days the DX2-66 still packed some "punch" in those days standards.....:)

Anyone have any info about how easy/hard it is to pull the VR6 from the Caravelle ? I'm thinking of getting myselfe a car of that style (for whenever situations one needs a car like that...lol), and saw one localy with full service history, but a "failing" engine - the owner thinks it only fires on 3 cylinders - myself, not really sure that it might be but....the car have done 200 000 km and I doubt the chain have been done - so I would think it's time to pull it anyway. Any info on these ? - also does a standard VR6 from a Passat 35i fit straight in or is there differences ? (I know they only took out 140HP from these ones). This one is a 1999 model.

Got a 3 phase electric motor which have a "gear" attatched to it - I'm wondering how this thing can be pulled off. It seem to be 100% stuck, and really not sure if it's at all possible to remove - might be another way to disassemble it, but can't seem to get the fan-blade of either. Anyone got any tips/experience with these kind of stuff ?

Second that :) Personally also enjoy wine - especially red - Amarone/Ripasso..............but yea, Guinness FTW :)

Looks like there is some info here: http://www.tdnparts.com/products/NGK-BKR5E.html * we recommend re-gapping for 'your' vehicle (.030 stock AAA) - I presume this is ment for the 2.8 VR6 (AAA) - but would guess the 2.9 ABV would be the same ?.
-
As I have both one of my older 35i 1.8 litre sitting around before scrapping, and my father 35i facelift diesel also still "available" before scrapping - is there any parts that's interchangable onto the Corrado VR6 ? I know a few of the wiring "paths" is the same, so nicking them, but is it anything else that I should salvage before I scrap em ?
-
If this is a hot start problem, then maybe this can be the culprit - I tried pretty much everything else related to starting problems - mine had intermittent start problems, always had to crank the sh*** out of it when hot - never experienced again after this fix: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=87352&page=3&p=1032480#post1032480 VW had a "fix" for the pump that was basically a non return valve inline hose - but it's sadly obsolete
-
As I'v also got a 06 VW Passat with a V6 (VR6), and tried different forums to dig out information regarding chain replacement etc - are these engines just as prone to failures due to chain/guides etc as the older VR6's ?. And eventually at what milage should one expect to have to do a service on em ?. My Passat just passed the 100 000 km mark, so ....... As no one else seem to be able to answer - I put the Q forward to the knowledgable Corrado forum members :) I presume it would be the same as for the Golf R32 :)
-
Probably not this - but an easy thing to try at least: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=87352&page=3&p=1032480#post1032480 My problem was mostly related to "hot starts"......but maybe it would sort this kind of problem as well :)
-
Not that I'v noticed - if something is lost it got to be *very* minor so far - would maybe expect it to be some "volume" of water it it bursts ?.
-
Was out driving the C today (in quite hot/humid weather), I'v noticed that the winshield have been fogging up a bit lately - not sure if it's related to the weather or not, but I fired up the AC, and just after there was what I first thought where smoke coming from the air-vent, pulled it over thinking something maybe had melted/caught fire, but didn't come anything more. Was this just an instance of condensating air - or is it sign of a failing heater core ?.
-
haha, yea I got the sense that is they way they *do* drive :) (This was an area of tunnels with roadwork etc - I guess that's why I found it a bit "weired" :) ). However I do think it would be better with a rental....lol.....and also countryside I think would be nice) Was only just into an area just outside milan due to driving the stelvio pass :)
-
haha, yea same impression I got - didn't try out what I though was a child playgound (I know see they had bigger cycles (or whatever that is) also lol....:) I guess the most interesting part at autostadt for me was up the stairs above where your picture is taken where they show a bit about modeling process etc - but meh - the automuseum is more interesting to me - but then again I'm more interested in the classic's so :) - and as you say it's not very easy to find - and it's quite anonymouse once you find it :)
-
Where did you guys stay ? - was staying in the hotel just across the train station myselfe - Inside by melia hotell, and yea also went to Autostadt and wasn't to impressed by it - would be much more interesting if VW would combine the museum within - but then again I think the museum are split out as some kind of non profit orgainisation.....or similar - I guess that's reflected on the €6 entrance fee :)
-
Just finnished a roadtrip of a bit more than 4000km, visiting the last Corrado at the automuseum etc, drove over the stelvio pass - but sadly a bit bad weather that day, so never realy saw anything from the top (fog) :) Probably already posted somewhere - but anyway to keep the Corrado content - the last one: Conclusion after driving denmark, germany, austria, italy and switzerland - never gona get my car close to an italian "city area".....talk about crazy sh*** driving........and a collective non respect of speed limits (not talking about 10-20km over limit - and I guess we all do speeding from time to time) - but I literally mean *all* - doing roughly 100km/h in 60km/h sones (road work area).....lol.....and if your stupid enough to leave a meter of space between yourself and the car in front - be sure there will be someone joining in between.....:) Anyonw else got such experiences in Italy or elsewhere ? (I must admit I'm more found of the German driving style/skills) :) Had another "funny" experience close to Berlin (Autobahn) - where a older BMW close up on me (propably been in front/beside me without be noticing) (I presume they had noticed me beiing alone in the car, but was driving with a m8 in the car in front) - starting to flash it's lights and a guy in the passanger seat show some sort of card (credit card size...lol).....just regret I didn't get the time to give him the finger - he went off on the first "unmanned rest place" - so presume they where up to some funky **** trying to lure me off the road.......ended up just ignoring the bas*** :)
-
Yea - no worries, thnx for the tip though :)

No wonder it doesn't save the sent messages then .....lol :) I never thought there was an option for such - maybe it was different on older versions of the forum - as I do have some saved sent messages :) thnx :)
