  1. How should the speakers that sits in the front be fastened? - are they only supposed to be dropped in and then the cover goes on top or?. also - any tips on speakers that will fit here? (will any 4" fit? - or something specific to look for) Also the "cover" that sits in the middle of the console - is this also a place for speaker, or only some cosmetic cover thingy?.
  2. Got it working - thanks for the feedback - and yes it does sit straight up. There is a plastic knob on the left side (on LHD cars at least) that goes into a hole in the metal bracket it sits in, and the two white clips are then holding it in place - locking into two other holes on the metal bracket. The white clips clips onto the bottom knobs and goes on the "outside" of the metal bracket. Just thought I'd write a quick description for later ref :)
  3. Think I figured out the locking mechanism - I presume the black knob on the box itself is supposed to snapp into a hole in the steel "frame" it sits on, and then the lock clip will lock it in that position ?.
  4. Really having a hard time with this stuff - if anyone have a picture of how they lock in to place it would be greatly appreciated...i have the 2 white clips, but really no space to look up underneath on this one...:(
  5. Any idea if there is 1 or 2 of thos white lock pins
  6. No wonder I have a hard time setting it straight up....lol... Is it locked in place with the same style as B3 passat clips (white ones)? If anyone happen to have a pic of how it sits, and how it's locked into place feel free to post one :) thanks again!
  7. Can anyone confirm that the fuse/relay box is supposed to sit straight up - the fuses and relay would face towards back of the car - or is it supposed to sit "face down" fuses/relay facing the floor?. I'v got a realy hard time getting it to bend into an upright position. Anyone know ? and if it's supposed to sit up, and tip on getting it in correct position (don't want to force it too much).
  8. Just about to do a new installation of speakers etc in the Corrado - due to (hopefully with the Corrado) a longer roadtrip later this summer so will update the sound system a bit. I haven't really had time to look at these things before, but now that I remove the cover I find the speakers that sits there (presumable cheapish stuff) I just thought if anyone have ever heard of a brand called "Fanatic" - model is FAN-5.2, even the name sounds cheapish....lol.... I'm thinking of buying some Pioneers as most are available localy - besides the 6x4 speaker (or at least haven't found that yet)..... but any tips on speakers I should look into would also be appreciated....:)

  10. haha, only so slightly :) lol - I was actually sure I had posted it but couldn't find the thread - I thin it was discussed what Corrado it was as well - but only found out recently :) Feel free to delete the thread :)
  11. Actually thought I'd posted this on here before - but couldn't find it in a search (sorry if it's a repost): Norwegian road test of new Audi RS6 in Germany - and a Corrado suddenly comes around :) Just thought it would be of interest to you - I searched for the original post as I actually found the car in question, so wanted to update the post :) Anyway - video is here: The Corrado: http://www.vau-max.de/tuning/tuning_artikel/ready_to_race___dieser_corrado_zeigte_dem_neuen_audi_rs6_die_ruecklichter/id=3324
  12. pm answered :) - Have a nice w/e in Bergen when you go! :)
  13. This is the area mine is leaking in - only leaking slightly over time......could it be the complete compressor needing to be replaced?:
  14. Yea that would be nice - also if you could take some pictures of the hose with the gaskets etc that would be appreciated :)
  15. It is pretty much my daily during summer, the engine have been apart and pretty much every wear partsøhave been replaced so quite confident it will be up to the task. Will have to have a look at the fuse boks as it does not sit straight up, its a tight fit due to the wires lol. I guess that shold be a quick fix though :)
  16. I have got a ac guy to put trace fluid in it, as the pressure test was fine, but over time it seem to leak out over time on what seem to be both lines into the compressor.
  17. Any gaskets here - or is it replacement of the compressor that have to be done when there is a leak in the connections going into the compressor?. 1995 VR6 Corrado
  18. This is actually one of the reasons - as I had one long trip in it when I picked it up in Stockholm Sweden and brought it to Norway in the first place - but was really surprised how good the seats etc are in regards to getting hurt back and everything :).
  19. Can't remember the original tyre size for the original Speedlines on the VR6 - any of you know?, and also what alternative sizes might be usable on them ?. I might have to buy new tyres for the speedlines if I'm going to take the car for a road trip, as the 16' Borbets with "stretched" tyres I don't think I'l take my chances with - if one get a puncture on the way - easier to replace on the oem's - and I guess also with a bit more rubber it get's a bit more softer ride........dam** I'm getting old....lol...:)
  20. Most likely will head down to Germany - and maybe even further down to Switzerland, and what not later this summer, but I haven't decided yet if I should take a long the Corrado VR6 or the 06 Passat V6, so any of you guys ever took the Corrado for a longer ride like this?. Any thoughts.....lol....:)
  21. Sometimes when I'm out "running around" with the Corrado I kinda have sense other motorists are somwewhat "checking out" the car - anything others experience ?. Like the other day a Porsche 911 was closing in at a steady pace - having free room in his lane, but for some reason slowing down and stayed for a while at the rear of the Corrado, before setting off again...these things seem to happen from time to time - and I haven't noticed this when out and about with the Passat :)
  22. Took it out of "winter hibernation", gave it a good scrub, polish, wax, and took it for a spin - gona be the daily for a while now I guess, while the Passat V6 gets some rest.....lol :)
  23. I think I found out - and it's not the same way....lol :)
  24. I presume this is the same as the Golf R32 - but is it easy to change?. Also do you take of the tension of the belt the same way as on the older VR6's ? or is it another mechanism ?. Any tips/ticks/guides appreciated :)
  25. Yea, I know :) - If I buy it, it's to have another "project" anyway lol....:)
