  1. hi guys again i need some info , my 2ltr 16v was sat in heavy traffic tonight and as you would expect the coolent temp starts to rise to around 100, not to much to be concerned about but then she slowly rised to just under 110 :onfire: ,this did get my butt twitching a little , car didnt over heat just rose a little higher than normal , anyway when i got home checked under bonnet , loads of water and oil in the engine (and it was in the correct places ) the only thing i could find was the connection on the engine bay temp sensor was broken , i think this only works when the engine is switched off when hot it keeps the fan running ? the temp got up to 100 and then the fan kicked in and dropped it down to 90 . anyway what i want to know is , is the sensor in the bottom of the radiator the switch that controls the cooling fans , as im thinking of wiring the the fan up to a switch so when stuck in traffic i can fick the fan on and sit there happerly knowing im not going to over heat , thanks for any info and sorry for bringing this subject up again guys :multi:

  2. well saw nice red one heading out of wimborne towards cranborne at around 7.15 am today , could do with a wash mate :black: , still looked good though .

saw a nice yellow on parked just off maninngs heath road in poole today looking a little sorry for its self  , been bumped up the back , looked a little nasty , real shame as ive seen it recently a few times there in mint pre accident condition , hope you keep it on the road and manage to get it repaired :multi:

  3. take the car back to the garage and ask them what there going to do about it before you loose your temper , they have liability insurance to cover these types of problems , make sure your insurance are also aware of the problem , if no joy with the manager ask for the owners name and then inform trading standards what has happend to your car whilst in there care you do have rights for a civil court case if you still have no joy , also mention speaking to your local paper if they are not going to help as bad publicity is the last thing any decent garage wants , personaly i would go back in the dark and wait for the mot tester to come out and kick him so hard in the bol***ks  that he would have to lumps around his neck .

hope you get it sorted with out to many probs buddy :thumbleft:

  4. (which is what all Mk2 Golf and C mods should be all about!)

should be but not always its personal preference at the end of the day mine isnt to loud its got a decent exhaust tone to it and its not like the ones you see and hear on a chav'ed up nova or corsa :)

  5. i got a nearly new from a mate , paid £80 for it but ive been told its worth about £230 new , i dont know if that true or not ,he may have been making it up to make £80 sound like a good deal ! im pleased with it though , im running a de cat pipe and only the main silencer followed buy the scorpion and its well impressive nice sound when driving even better on over run and a nice flash of flame at the right rpm range . :onfire:
