white_vw_corrado replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Exterior
i tahe back all the bad things i said about the in.pro lamps finally was able to get adjusters and but in some uprated bulbs and i tell you now the brightness is superb! much safer and wider field of vision! -
yeah seen those a while back but there not exactly a cheap option - though they are very cool!
-

There off my in.pro angel eye lamps. dunno if you can buy em seperate but my angel eyes cost £180. thinking of gettin a few copies moulded but there would only be for show use as id get them done out of plastic. Im also getting a few centre console gauge holders knocked up as we speak so ill be doing them for discounted prices to the forum. Get in touch if anyone is interested!

FurkiG60, There you go man! But ive gone back to my inpro lamps finally was able to adjust the height of the beams so got them to function - amazing improvement in light! My faith has been restored in in.pro!
-
To be honest it really doesnt affect the light pattern, mainly because it balls in the first place. But looks cool enough, HA!
-

Bin, lol, what are you driving? 16V? it goes in the plug thats plugged into the airfilter. bend the legs of the resister into the plug and then secure it out the way. -

SMALLER WHEELS! I put original G60 sebring alloys inplace of my 16" wheels and the boost in power was definatly noticable! even daft resistor mods can make a subtle difference. -
Before/after, then/now, your Corrado's life in pictures.

Bought this off an old man and now here it is However just went back to original Sebring alloys and boy does it go faster! -

Now this is quite "Sin City" if you ask me -
i got the bumper type one and it looks awful bought it from the US - guess ill just keep it as an investment - works better on darker cars plus mine looks gash because of the holes for the washers....take a look

i got my set out of an audi coupe and an audi 80 both sets each costing me a tenner. Heres a pic of mine fitted
-
i have this same problem - ive got a 1.8 16v - mine goes off when the engines cold or if i just over rev it. i was told to just replace the clocks as its a resistor thats gone. i never got round to doing this but i had an oil change and that sorted it for a while. i find if u just flick the ignition off and on it sorts it too

Nah i got my Corrado from Newton Aycliffe area and it now lives in Teesside. My car was off the road for like 3 years before i bought it, with no engine or wheels - but its running cool enough now. Toying with the idea of an engine conversion getting a late 2.9vr6 put in and full break and suspension conversion for just under £2000. But theres also a golf rallye with a 2.9vr6 engine, full leather, audi TT alloys for £3000 so i dont really know what to do...any sugestions? £2000 a fair price for such a conversion?
-
nah it is the same, im pretty sure, as it supports the engine the same. i can get you one fairly cheap if your interested

changing the interior light switches colour
white_vw_corrado replied to kasman21's topic in Interior
yeh the bulbs do need changing but its quite a simple task to convert your whole dash. A full weekend and your laughing! -
ha we on about the car yeh lol? I dunno girls up here in the NE are quite anti-VW. need to be round in shape and all that. give them a calibra and burberry scarf and their happy! saying that though there are some beauty lil examples of vws my fav being the "billabug"

didnt the old passat come with the same acc pedel rubber? i got custom molded VW emblem rubbers anyways but im fairly certain about the 90s passat having them
-
I had neons in my golf in the foorwells and under the driver seats to do the rear footwells, but had them on the same circuit as the dimmer switch, more for novelty than anything

changing the interior light switches colour
white_vw_corrado replied to kasman21's topic in Interior
Dont bother with the guy on ebay. the colour is only dictated by colour filters on most illuminated parts of your car. ive changed the colour on many VW instrument clusters and its pretty much the same technique. to do a d-i-y filter either get a bit of paper (cheap option) and use what ever colour crayon you want the light to be...or...go to staples or stationary box and buy coloured plastic folders (best option) then cut the filters out of that. Heres a link showing how to change dial, mfa and heater illumination. Pluss there are other tricks such as installing UV LEDS and painting your speedo/rev needles a bright colour or use UV nail varnish. heres that link with general instructions and pictures of how to sort your dash! http://www.bmc-ne.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=115 -

some pleb thought my car was a renault 9 or something but there have been moments when old fellas have said with a sigh "always wanted one of them after me scirocco..." then they get lead away with there wife and kids into a xsara. Must admit though....girls just dont get Corrados (urgh, isnt it a tigra?)

isnt the cross member the same on Golf mk2s? im sure you could just order a new one at a low price or eventually find a better one at a scrapyard off a decent jetta (jetta always better!)
