Hi All Can anyone help me out? I need a drivers side front hub assy as some cnut drove into my front wheel and bent the wishbone AND hub assy. And drove off. Don't mind paying of course! Cheers Cormac

Hi Owen I'vejust had the crappy *s* bend thing snap off the end of my cable. What dia solderless nipple did you use? I guess it's double sided, did you screw through from the back of the lever? There are plenty on fleabay, just want to make this fix as painless as possible, if that's possible with a Rado!

Looks like this thread is going to run and run! My spoiler would creak like a sound effect from a Hammer Horror film when going up and down. Now it's stuck in the up position. You can hear the motor trying to move the spoiler when the switch is used. Any opinions?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Been a shite year all round. Lost me Ma to lung cancer, had a prolaped spinal disc and sciatica and then mugged to top it all off. When I was on the phone to DVLA i said I was thinking of changing me middle name to Jonah! He thought i was serious :cuckoo: Anyway, I got my keys cut from my old door handles (i have the rear passat handle mod) at GEMSEC up in Hengrove. Took em 10 mins. Then I called a fella called Donald @ Alarn-a-car he got the unit out but cause it was so old I had to send it back to laserline in warrington. They turned it round in a couple o days and now i have two new fobs and a re-coded alarm. Annoying thing is that the alarm keeps arming itself and going off while I'm driving. Still, I'm nearly there. Watch this space etc...

BUMP! Anyone out there? C

Can any one help me? Four brave lads mugged me last night and stole my bag which contained my keys and laserline fob. Now I'm locked out of my rado with spare keys or fob. Does anyone have any advice as I really need my car atm. Can I get a new fob to learn from the immobiliser unit? How about Keys? Do I need to get new locks and keys or can I get keys cut? Thanks C

that's a lush valver, love the borbets too. mines white (ish) gotta say i'm more of a fan of the bonnet recess rather than bulge, bit more understated.

My fan has packed up. i saw a thread on here before on how to refurb the innards of the 1-4 switch. typically, i can't find it when i need it. It does work now and again (when it feels like it) so probably not the fan (replaced recently) or resistor pack (new thermal fuse too) Anybody got any ideas? Cheers C

Mother of Christ! That's a f*cking nightmare. Never mind *Who shall remain anonymous*, I'd take out a 16 sheet billboard ad and plaster their name across it for all to see! It's twonks like this who give good, honest mechanics a bad name and trusting clients like you a hard time/ravaged wallet. Stick it to em I say! *Rant over*

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I'm gonna go for it. Some what reluctantly as I put a new OEM suitcase on there 8 months ago :cuckoo:
-
Can anyone give me any advice re Longlife? Called Berkley branch and apart from their *I don't want the business* attitude they were quoting me close to 650.00 for a full system!!! That's from the manifold back - WTF???!
-
I'm seconding that craigowl. mine was like a new car (to drive, that is, not the bodywork).
-
PFFFTTT!! Good luck with that boss! I'm freelance so I work all over the place. Not done any work for FC for a while. Last car mag I worked on was Fast Ford (imaginitve titles eh?) some months ago. I still feel dirty
-
I know it's probably galling (and not cheap) but go to the stealers. Ihad a sh*tload of work done on mine recently including geometry and alignment. I can whack the anchors on now and it stays perfectly straight. What are your top mounts like BTW?
-
thanks skyway, how easy is it to get the bumper off? I'm fine with interior trim and bits and pieces in the engine bay but never had the exterior trim off.
-
When mine was at the dealers, they pranged the back end (new rear light, dent pulled out, touched in and resprayed badge for free - ta!) I asked em for a quote to sort out the rust, dings etc and they came back at extorto-rates. they say it's cause they do things to *insurance standards*. no wonder we're all getting screwed by the insurers!!
-
Can anyone point me in the the direction of the *ahem* rear exit holes? i couldn't see the drain pipes at the back of the sunroof so i thought i could try and unblock em from the the other end. something tells me it's not a great idea to be jabbing an old bass guitar string into random holes under the car
-
I quite like the bonnet louvres. i like a functional mod. what happened to the back seats BTW, don't suppuse you still have em?
-
   quality! looks like i've got some competition boss! :notworthy:
-
I thought the ridiculous amount of lens flare and stupidly bright lights (defo not xenon!!) might have given it away as a P-shop job!! At least it's raised a few laffs!
-
Heh SIMONG! The "Blue neons" are *ahem* ironic. i don't really have 'em, just a cheeky Photoshop trick I picked up whilst designing for Fast Car magazine. I'm just srabbling along in th hope of getting mine back to stock(ish).
-
When did they become obsolete? I bought some for my valver a couple of years back. The silvering had been burned out due to some numpties loom. Cost me £140 EACH! And that was after begging the stealers to knock the VAT off.
-
Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Too much effort to make a rado look bad. Put down the tools and walk away :nono:
-
Total ballache, ripped the fekker off both my valvers.
-
Well that's it for KR suitcases. I just bought the last one (allegedly). Stupidly expensive but I decided to stick with OEM after umming and ahhing about stainless. Once that lot goes I'll probably get the Magnex in.
