  1. either wwo or ba code box I'd say mate... *BA coded boxes are listed on a lot of Air-cooled sites so I'd hazard a guess at WWO... Dealer may be able to confirm?
  2. Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! No wonder he has such an attitude problem. The man is a fool. We'll ignore the time he apparently ended up in Brands Hatch's carpark during an F3 race then! :ignore:
  3. Amazing, looking at Bernie's history, 1958... 1 season of GP as an owner/driver, 2 Actual GP entries ... and DNQ both times.... and the Circuits are? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Silverstone and Monaco, his two "least Favorite" one! :norty:
  4. Exactly, the season could be over by the 8th race, how boring would that be knowing who's going to take the championship so early on. At least with the point system even if a driver wins the first 8 races, where as another driver could have come 2nd in the first 8 races, this would still leave a chance (no matter how unlikely) that the driver with 8 wins could fail to finish in the points for the lat 6 races, and the driver with the first 8 2nd places could still take the championship (that make sense?). But to best honest, im not convinced at Brawns team finishing near the top in a race purely down to performance - testing times are not reliable enough to make that sort of judgment. Dont get me wrong, they could do really well in the first race and through out the season. But to go from a failed car to a front runner in the space of one winter even with the rule changes, im sceptical. Good luck to them, but i'll have to wait and see before i say they will be front runners. My tuppence is it will turn F1 into "Bin-it or Win-it" and lets throw the Spa debarcle into the equation too... Also there is a a real possibility below "the Championship" of a consistant podium-placed driver being demoted down the ranks in favour of a "Lucky" driver with one win (Monaco in the rain anyone?) and what effect that on the teams standings? (or will that be judged on size of motorhomes and hospitality suites?) Critcal, you will find that Honda stopped the development of their 08 car before the 1/2 way point and dived into the '09 car which Braun GP have inherited, plus all their work was done pre-testing ban so this situation is more than likely... However we all know that "some teams" have their own private test track (or two) what's to stop them testing a "2010" car and hey presto suddenly these parts appear mid season!
  5. Hi Guys, Just wondering what's the safest spacer I can run as well as an adaptor? (4x100-5x130) Don't really want to go down this road but with 35mm adaptors being so thin on the ground (there are none in stock in UK as far as I have found and 3-4 week lead time!) I'm considering the 25mm Adapto with 10mm Spacer route... But really how safe is it stack adaptors and spacers up on top of each other?
  6. However they've dicked about with the points scheme and also considering an optional £30m budget cap.... Me thinks they will also introduce a 2s/ lap penalty for anyone who is driving for a team that is the same nationality as they are! (Oh and if that don't work, a 5s/lap reduction for any car with a horse on it!) :cuckoo: This season will go 1 of 2 ways....# or :epicfail:
  7. Sukh, bring it to Git Spring Fest? If so will want to crawl all over it, look for the "midget" Yeti and I'll be close by! Jon
  8. About time too Matt! Keep it coming though...
  9. Nay Probs Matey.. will look out for that Beer at GiT-Fest! Also a big-up to Chris AKA VAG-HAG for the all Reds... arrived all intact thaks to top packaging! Newspaper, foam nuggets, shredded paper, AND an Airpocket too! The Cats love you man!
  10. Well the "Winter Wheels" got polished and first layer of Colinite applied today... will try to find time to add another couple layers over the coming week... I'm STILL waiting for my Adaptors to come in at Voodoo :censored: Cameraphone washes the colour out quite a bit! They are a lot brighter, and will hopefully be on for GTi-fest (along with the KW-1's sitting under the stairs) In the meantime, thanks to Vag-Hag (Chris) for these... Note: they are MOT Friendly too! Also removed some of the Flaking paint from the drivers door handle, needs a bit of 1500grit to get rest off though... Bloody "Previous-Owner-done-with-a-rattle-can" Colour-coded handles :mad2: Oh and also added a Daves16v Repair kit to the broken Passenger door handle... a damn fiddly job but very worth it... Just need to do the Drivers side as a precaution... and remove the Passenger card again and re-attach the c/locking plug I forgot when re-assembling! :brickwall:
  11. There's a Vaccum pump in the driver's side rear 1/4 (in boot) and this is activated electrcally by the locks. If you lock it and can hear the pump working (listen near the filler cap) then it probably means a pipe's come off... They normally come adrift on the doors so cards off and have a look... or there's T piece under the dash, this will show up by neither door unlocking. If the pump's not working then it could be a connection or the pump's died... Bit vauge but HTH..
  12. LOL I think I can live with that! What do you reckon I thought they would maybe look good in bronze. But probably better in black   And 5-stud? :ignore:
  13. Would be Unfair I used to work in the industry... plus it's purely an entertainment for me now!

  16. Anyone give me the part number for the 3way plastic flange on the front of a 9a block? Has 3 cooiling pipes going in and is just above the oil filter housing IIRC? Dealer's not being much help with my "Vauge" description!
  17. I e-mailed ABT ages ago (in english and german) to see what they had originally offered for the Corrado.. and got nothiung back... good to see customer dis-service stretches both sides of the channel!
  18. Want that glovebox and gearleaver surround! :luvlove: Do you take body parts as payment!
  19. Tom, assuming they're alloy adaptors and not steel.. I'd have thought same as standard Rado alloys would be fine for bothe adaptor and wheel? Are you running M14 bolts on the wheels? As I'm about to go down this route and information is "Scetchy" about what size wheel bolts to use..
  20. By Neptune's Beard! Miguel, will need to catch up with you at GTi-spring Fest then!

    Moody speedo

Smacked the top of the binnacle with the heel of your hand? Yeah I know sounds :cuckoo: but these things sometimes just need "appropriate" force!
  22. With regards the "lost" 30-or-so Hp of the VR engine (or any VW engine) VW have a history of "restricting" their engines to increase longevity... Case in point are Air-cooled 1600's, they can make over 100Hp with not a lot of work (Mild head Porting, Cam, Carbs, Exhaust) but only made 54HP out the box, mostly down to a restrictive exhaust and carb set up... BUT properly maintained in stock form will do many 100,000 miles... With better engine management and Turbo systems they have extended the power/torque envelope a bit, but as we have seen they're still pretty conservative! VW as a company are historically about longevity of product Bug/Bus/Early Golfs prove this. As to the "new" Rocco's styling... no longer a "hand-built Coupe" so really can't be compere to Rocco's and Rados... It's basically a Mk6Golf "Sportsback"
  23. May want to contact JMR and see when the charger was done! Might be nearing rebuild time! But 50 "free" HP for a pipe connection seems pretty good!
  24. Wierd.. my unstretched Toyo-PX4's on the Estorils, were awesome in the wet really showed up the Pirellis on the rear! :gag: Amazing grip even when they hit standing water.. solid.. rears just floated which was slightly unsettling! My slightly (205 on a 7.5) Yoko Prada's are good in dry but grip is quite random in the wet... don't feel comfortable over 80 in anything but dry conditions? Have Conti-Sport's going on with the new wheels not heard anything bad with them! but they're a 195/45/16 on a 7 so not stretched again.
