  1. Stu, you coming over to GTi-Fest on Sunday? Should be a few for sale there.... There's a stunner on ED at the moment but at 7K probably a "little" out your leauge!
  2. Any-one know if I get my Tax on-line and still drive the car can I still be caught or will the DVLA update the APNR system immediately? I'm guessing there's probably an over-night upload or something? Not don on-line taxing before so a bit confused, do you get a reciept or something to prove that you have taxed the car till the disc turns up?
  3. PMSL! Good point... but wrong in a Kev-in-a-dress way :gag:
  4. Woohoo No more Pug-rot! Doubt you can get down tomorrow night, but if you can, Steve at Nomads has just had his VR rebuilt, and it's soo damn quiet, until you give it a kicking... no tappety taps, no rattly rats... Lots of VR'd Mk3's out there though... If you come across anything in E-London area, will be happy to go pre-view for you if you like.
  5. Oh yeah, I'd report the Ad as it does claim Immaculate body work! :bad-words:
  6. Damn beat me to it I was going to suggest yours! Stu sorry to hear about your wasted trip but a good bench-mark and souind like a good process to learnt what to look out for too! We drover 200+ miles with a mate to look at a "mint" Baywindow couple years ago with some mates who were in the market. Sounded ideal, old boy owner (80!!) since new, full VAG and specialist S/H... got there to find the "specialist" had nailed at least 2 sets of arches over each other on each corner it in it's life (N/S rear actually had 4 sets overlaid!), and some of worst "Blind-man" welding on the chassis too, looked like a goose had been very ill under there! :bad-words: Still gave my mate a good lesson on a bad one and where to look out for.
  7. Avoid like the plauge... Went years ago to a test day and even then could only see 50ft of track out of Copse, which is bugger all at 150+ Unless you want to pay big bucks for seats not worth it TBH... Too much for too little, which is basically down to the fact the BRDC have to pay Bernie to host the event so cram as many people in for as much as they can... All becuse despite Motorsport being a real sucess story the Govt would prefer to spend their money on scrounging benefit cheats and mad Mullas, rather than help fund what should be a jewel in the crown of F1. After all how many teams are based here? Almost all!
  8. Pics or STFU Andy... Oh and here's what I have been threatening you with... Just off to find the Labrador and dog guard for you now!
  9. Scrotes... Looks like they thought it was a Mk2/3 golf doing that! Yeah a good bodyshop will patch that up though. There's a good painter body guy out Watford area if I could only remmember his name at the moment! ... Gutted for you John, remember what it felt like when the scumball did mine last year too (rear 1/4 window with a fist)
  10. Nah that's fine ! :gag: Yup top caps have let go, hope that's all the damage they caused mate?
  11. Its 70+ Degrees out and we're talking about ICE! You can't just pull a fuse as tehy are linked to other things as well as the spoiler. I'd go with Dec's "twist knob" :fondle: idea as it means your not disrupting the electrics... Which means the motor will still get some excercise. Just remember to grease the motor and working when you're there.
  12. Yup get the mixture checked to make sure your fueling properly. Also timing etc will need checking too. Do you have exhaust and filter mods too?
  13. VHT Wrinkle Black FTW No Primer needed!
  14. Ok get yourself down to Chinnor and see Cris at Birks Motors 01844-353320 he'll sort you out!
  15. Jeepers D go big or go home eh? Green one looks good but what's happening with Toffee and the black G-60 daily? :confused4:
  16. Andy, have a chat with Slangwerks on eD38 (also the Passat forum) very friendly and very helpful. Steered me away from the Megs plastic polish as it was "one of the two megs products I've ever bought that doesn't work" You'll find him hanging out in the detailing area!
  17. TRY PEANUT BUTTER The smooth variety works apparently, as does ground-nut oil. But both are a PITA to remove. The A-G stuff's good and as long as you don't use too much lasts a while too (all about layers like polish/wax) Plus a bottle will last a couple years as there's not too much black on a C, use a detailing sponge to apply and you don't overload the surface like you will with a rag.
  18. Someone want to check the Pish-rat section too as I heard somewhwere that they are similar/the same??
  19. You really need a job Jon! Get some Autglym Bumper Snot! Will bring the h/light surrounds back a treat!
  20. I like... strangely enough! 14x9 with 225-40-14's (Thanks to ED38 corrado forum)
  21. Jimbo, I'm guessing you're in Bucks by yiur user name? If so where abouts as I know a guy whos a genius with K-Jet/ Ke-Jet...
  22. If its one of those one-piece spoiler/grill things have heard this happen a few times. Think they need more than the 3-4 screws they give you. Get a decent badgeless 3-slat grill and make sure the rubber grommets are in place in the 3 holes and all will be fine.
  23. Wow some really good power there! So what's it like to drive about in London though? If you can come over to e-London meets and we should catch up!
  24. Karl, any idea if he had the tail gate too?
  25. Hey it's "dyno proven" and Guarentees gains of approx 20bhp! So must be good! :cuckoo:
