  1. Yeah thats what i was thinking, because its going to be getting some serious brake abuse when its turboed :norty: As far as the end of the road where it promptly "runs out of fuel!"
  2. Guys guysch, he's talking the US so they have no concept of "KG"... Old-school Lb/Oz please! Still amazed Sir Cheesy's not been here!
  3. Well there are my two favorite Rados just there! Satin black doesn't work, saw one on the Midnight Cruise in London in Jan and just looked really "wrong" no-one could say why but just that it didn't work.... Much like the Blue on the "Gaybum" on last night's TG didn't work, but the Stealth-Black one in the studio did...
  4. Alright PJ, knowing how Canny Yorkshiremen are with spending... I'll give ya £4 for the interior and £5.50 for the wheels then!
  5. OOPS should have put "Spoiler" in big letters then?? (Good job I didn't mention Spitfires then!) Kev last few series were between 7-9 episodes but seemed longer thanks to Snooker!
  6. Well last of the current series but what a way to go... "We could have turned up on Bobby Charlton's back" One-armed sound-man... Hamster's "Bad Winner" exhibition... :notworthy: Oh and world's Ugliest (and quickest) supercar! :pukeright: Shame only 6 programmes though!
  7. Swap it for that Lupo you want matey! And as you'll probably be dissapearing soon... one last change for....(thank Toad for reminding me of this...) "Lets get ready to rumble!"
  8. Rain-X lasts ages the only issue is using wipers then it gets worn away. Other than that once a month quick wipe to top up is all that's needed. TBH this sounds scary but the heavier the rain the better Rain-x works, been down the M40 in torrential rain and no wipers (with Rain-x on my old work's T4 van), could see better than with the wipers on. Oh and another trick for stopping misting windows... wipe a cut potato over them... it really works... as does applying a very thin film of washing up liquid to the insides. Both old racer tricks !
  9. Following on from This Going to Nominate Chigmuss (on here and on ED) agreed price for a set of wheels on Edition sorted £50 deposit, asked for dates so I can organise a courrier (he's in Cumbria) then nowt, despite e-mails and PM chases until I get a Mod involved and complain.... Needless to say I'm £50 down but on the upside I'm still £100's up for not paying him the balance! Makes me wonder how many £50 deposits he took on those wheels? Hard to tell as most deals are done through PM on there! :censored:
  10. Yup and carpets look to be stock Grey same as mine (Grey interior)
  11. PMSL how many times have I done that! Can't rate this stuff highly enough! On my Mk2 Rocco with a single wiper hardly used the wiper at speeds above 40... On the Rado seems to be 50+ when it starts to really work though. Amazing for side windows/mirrors/lights. Just make sure all glass is really clean and follow the instructions... Also great for the winter too as provides a better frost barrier, meaning slightly easier to scrape in the mornings. In Summer the bugs don't stick so readily to the screen either! Go with the washer fluid tips too, in summer just run plain water with Rain-X in winter use the Rain-x additive.
  12. Yeah will see what they say... Previous company kept moving the goalposts when I was choosing... Start: Them: Must be diesel and not BM or Merc (Manager/Director only) Me: OK Audi A3 130TDi Quattro please Them: Or Audis Me: OK Passat 130TDi Sport Them: No Me: Seat... Me: Ok Mazda 626 Di Sport Them: Or Japanese... Me: WHAT! That's 3/4 of the market what do you suggest? Them: Well Renault and Peugeots are popular.. Me: OK what about a Saab 93 Tdi? Them: No Saabs are Managers cars! Me: But it's a Vauxhall! OK look I'll have to drive this for the next 3 years/100k+ why can't I chose a reasonable car that I like? Them: French cars are very good these days... Turns out the Fleet director had struck a deal with his local Pug/Renault garage... :bad-words: So I went and found another job...
  13. Well scouting about I might be able to get an R32! Semi-sensible in 5-door!
  14. PMSL Practical... Yeah join the Yeti school of estate motoring! Josh When have I ever beem practical! Hmm... can you get Split vans on leasing deals? :confused4:
  15. Thanks mate, those wheels are crackin, what are they? Plan is: A good detailing Coilovers Mk4 style Mk3 lights Crystal smoked indicaters and fogs Crystal smoked rears Debadged grill 16" or 17" rims but not sure what ones yet Techtonics exhaust Schimmel 263s Custom re-map Replacement beasting ariel Front number plate Treatment for faded rear spoiler Replacement centre console (a bracket of some sort is screwed on the side of the current one) Replace tatty stearing wheel and gearstick gaiter and gearknob Chrome bezels for instument cluster TT Pedals Pink fluffy dice  (only joking) Black leather interior Sound system Alumination change from green to red I think that's it so far  C You missed out the Beige-special Turbo/Supercharger! Welcome back to the VW jungle from all those years in the rattly French Desert!
  16. Ok have a chance to possibly lease a car with work. Allowance will be £325 (plus mileage) So was thinking either a Golf or (and I know I said I don't really like it) a Scirocco, possibly a Seat Cupra or Skoda VRS. What are the pitfalls in leasing a car and do I need to remove things like servicing and insurance from the equation? Also will I get an option to spec the car to what I ant or will it just be a Boggo-stock no-toys version? Sorry for Newbie questions but not leased a car before.. Or anything else I should look at (Alfas? )
  17. Invest in a Magnex? They're fine on Stock VAG Rubbers!
  18. Is that the one that comes with the WAG-edition Marble effect dash and White leather seats encased in Plastic, with the optional extra "Vanity Rear-view mirror" that only points at the driver offering a perfect line of sight for doing your lippy? Had me fished in for the first coupl lines Dom!
  19. There's a guide on the Corrado club canada forum I think and I believe it can be done without pulling all the dash too! But sure some-one will confirm or blow me out the sky on that! Worth checking and replacing any suspect hoses whilst you have the cooling system empty too!
  20. Best thing is fill it up with Strong water/anti-freeze mix and take it for a run. If it is the matrix you'll smell the anti-freeze in the cabin. But also have a look in the engine bay for any tell-tale rust streaks from the pipes too, and have a good look at the Rad front and back (when cold to save "fan-finger") could be that leaking?
  21. 3rd on the matrix... Strange the mechanic didn't pick up on the steamy window bit?
  22. I leave this thread for a bit and the handbags are out in the Turbo vs Charger world! Miguel, as I've moved down to London I think I need to come have a chat at some point! :notworthy:
  23. Another Brown "brilliant idea" too! :gag: Right where's that boat out of here to the "land of the free" where Petol's £1-1.50/US Gallon and they are complaining!
  24. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7518683.stm As old Brownie wants us to If we all suddenly jumped on the Electric car bandwagon. What would he tax us on instead of Petrol/Diesel? Tyres? Tolls? Breathing? :camp:
  25. Andy, any updates on this? Did "They" :bad-words: come back to you?
