One place I was at had a "wee" Bently in for fome work and it was costing £28K to spray it! Can you get a black flip colour?

Cheers G60. Gonna take it down to that garage so they can see it and give me a better idea of a price. The only reason they gave me a price without seeing the car was 'cause my girlfriend deals with them alot thriugh her work and I asked her to ask them to get a rough idea for me. They do alot of insurance repairs for a large insurance company over here and are supposed to be very good. How much d'ya reckon it would cost to ship my car over and have your mate do it? :lol: :lol: :tongue:

About the fuel guage, it is kind of a logarithmic scale. Full tank is 12 gallons, half a tank is 6 gallons (A+) but half a tank is indicated by 7 gallons I think! I wouldn't mind a petrol warning light!

Mabye, just mabye, the guage isn't all that accurate. I mean, I don't like to let my petrol get too low and perhaps there is more in the tank than you think? Just a thought. I usually fill up at 'burys so I can get mucho Nectar points.

My 92 is the same, only takes about £30 to fill from the line just above the red one. Supposed to have a 12 gallon tank which works out at 54.55 litles (uk gallon) or 45.42 litres (us gallon). Depending on petrol prices (74.9p a litre) you get £41 to fill or £34 so mabye the G60's have a non uk gallon petrol tank!

Hey everybody! My black G60 is in need of a respray cause the last owner must have thought that bird poo was a nice bit of decoration. So I've got lime attack on the roof and on the bonnet. Plus, some little jobbie has keyed the entire passenger side and there are a few carpark dings all round. Was just going to get the entire outer shell resprayed and bring the car back to it's former glory. I have been quoted with varying amounts, one was £1500 worst case scenario (but they didn't see the car) and the other was £2000 min. The point to this thread (eventually) is can anyone recommend a good bodyshop in the Glasgow area who I can get a quote from? Plus, would it cost much to get some Audi door handles fitted while it's in there? Cheers, Grim

Just off the phone to my inside man and he reckons that the new "floppy" style blades are pants and only last a few months before needing replaced. Anyone got an experienced opinion of this matter? He hasn't actually used them but from working in the garage he's heard a few complaints.

would that fit ok onto the lupo wiper arm? if it would then i might consider it. i have contacts at my local stealer so might be a bit cheaper. Plus i dont have to buy 2 arms and blades. :D

21 inches which i think is 2 inches longer than normal. Is it a lost cause? Don't want to fit it if it's an MOT fail or anything. Cheers

Can anyone tell me if the Lupo wiper mod will work with a single wiper? Mine seems ok but I use rain-x and don't use the car much. If anyone has done this to a single wipered C can they let me know? Cheers, Grim

Just found out that I have a warped disc on the front left of my G60. Was going to get Black Diamond cross-drilled and grooved discs with predator pads. Pagid grooved pads were recommended also but don't know what is best. Cross-drilled, grooved or a combination of both? Any suggestions? Porsche swear by cross-drilled but looking for C owners opinions on what they have had. Got about £200 to play with. Cheers, Grim

I'm in sunny Cambuslang and that's not me ur seeing. Good to see that there is more than 1 G60 locally! Mines de-badged at the rear with a Reiger 3 slat grille and stock steel wheels (for now). Needing a respray cause some lil turd keyed it and last owner neglected the paintwork (mostly lime attack). Should meet up sometime. Where are you? Do you recommend grooved then? C ya later, Grim

You can override the locking when you start the car up. I got the guy who fitted mine to do that cause if you want to get out while the engine is on you can't. Sort out your valet mode before you try and wash the car or you will end up setting the alarm off!

I've got a black 92 G60 with full leather interior from a Storm. At the moment the carpets are grey along with the trim at the a-pillars and such like. Also the headlining is grey. Could someone with a Storm tell me what colour their carpets, trim and headlining is? I would appreciate it alot as I want to compliment the leather with the correct colour of carpet etc. Cheers, Grim

Can anyone tell me why VW stopped making the Corrado? A guy I work with seems to think it's because the emission laws changed and thr rado didn't meet them. As opposed to developing a new engine at the time, they just said "fuck it" (or the equivilant in German) and stopped making them. Is there any truth to this theory? I thought they decided to end production on a high and thats why some of us have the Storm to play with (I just have the interior)! Please help me get to the bottom of this as it's going to drive me insane! :scratch:

Wot kind of rims are they, BBS? Gotta get some wheels for my black G60 but can't decide what style. Weight is also an important factor cause I don't want to loose any acceleration or power.
