    Window Tinting

Well if they are clamping down I'm totally fu$&*d!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My windows are really dark but were done before I bought the car. Looks like I'll have to whip them off and get it made lighter.
  2. Did you disconnect the pump hose by any chance? It can sometimes take a while to get back up to pressure to operate the lock. Keep trying it and see how it goes after afew attempts.
  3. Hmmmm  Would it by any chance be a crazy purple to match the car? That will look sweet when it's done!
  4. Comes in tins so you should be able to get some smuggled over! Comes in various colours but you can also use any high temperature paint. Halfords do a range of it. You might be able to get it off their website since you can't really pop into your local store.

    leather cleaner...

Got cream storm interior in mine and when i bought the car it was filthy. Autoglym cleaner and conditioner has helped it alot and is slowly but surely lifting out cracks and removing grime. Still lots of cracks ond dirt on them but I'm gonna keep at it all summer to get them looking as good as I can. Trying to aviod re-trim cause I'm a student. The only down side is the smell!!!
  6. Nicely done sir! 8) I'll bet they are  at that post. C@li$ra's are pants! I was gonna buy one when I was looking for my C but common sense prevailed thankfully. I think the worst thing about the C@li$ra, is that it is a V@uxh@!!.
  7. Got it sorted, thanks for your help. Could one of the mods please lock this one? Locked as of now  -vr6storm
  8. Cool, I'll give it a try. Is yours stiff by any chance? (whey hey )
  9. I love it when a plan comes together 8)
  10. Since it is such a lovely night tonight, I decided to whip off my drivers side door card. Got all the bits off except for one and it won't budge. In my old MkII Golf it slid to one side, can someone please tell me if it is the same and what side it goes to? An urgent reply would nice because I want to get things sorted tonight. Attached is a photo of the bit I mean. Cheers
  11. Cool. Thanks. :D Just going to find out how much the bits will cost me.
  12. Do you mean both pressure senders or a pressure sender and the trmp sender? Probably a silly question (again) but just so I get the right bits. Would it be worthwhile replacing all of the senders mentioned above? I'll hopefully get it sorted by the weekend, thanks
  13. Doh! Thanks for pointing that out for me. My knowledge of the 16v is even less than that of my G60 but I' only 4 months into this Corrado ownership so I'm still learning. You learn something new every day. 8)
  14. Does it rattle when at idle and low revs and sound like your car is rubbish? Does it sound like it's coming from near the front? I had a similar problem with my G60 a few weeks back. Don't know the 1.8 16v much so excuse the dumb question.... does it have a CAT? If it has or had one and it's been removed and a de-cat pipe fitted, check that the lambda sensor is screwed in tightly. This was what was wrong with mine. Had the exhaust off checking for bits in it and everything. Wasn't till we were putting it back on we realised the sensor was loose. A quick tighten up and the noise was gone. Hope this helps.
  15. it's the other bit that is the problem, i can see that now. Yellow wire is in the wrong place because of the aftermarket sender, thus making the green wire redundant due to the aftermarket vdo gauge having crazy wiring. So, if I order a new (standard) pressure sender and put it on (will it be easy to do?) and connect it all up like yours, I should get a reading on the temp gauge in the MFA? My mate a the local stealer is pricing me one up tomorrow as he will get it at cost 8) . Would I be as well removing the old connectors and crimping on new non-corroded ones before I reconnect everything? I hope this is something I can do myself without loosing oil/coolant etc and not taking me a few hours. Thanks for your help Henny, I'd be stuck without it. Let me know your thoughts on this post and if it is easy to do I'll get it done myself. :D :D :D I might still have some questions so be prepared to get pestered some more!  Thanks again
  16. I have this bit plugged in where it should be.
  17. the black wire on the left (top pic) goes the the temp gauge that has been added i think. Yellow one is the only original bit left. The bit at the back is where i disconnnected the other wire from the vdo. You can just see the green wire in the second pic. any ideas where it goes? End is slightly corroded and plastic looks kinda burnt at one side. I'm a bit worried about that blue crusty looking stuff on the right of the block. Is that coolant? I know I'm being a pain in the ass but your help is greatly appreciated.
  18. Henny, had a look tonight at what i'd done last night and I'm a complete chopper!!!! I put the blue and WHITE plug onto the sender! Whats wrong with this picture? I can see no blue/black wire. Am I even looking at the right area of the block? I'm a dumbass
  19. MFA still reads --- so I'll have another look tomorrow when I get home from work. Cheers for the advice Henny, u a mechanic or auto electrician or you had these proobs yourself in the past? The green wire has a vw female spade connector on it so I don't think it would cause the fault. I'll have a look tomorrow and take a note of what I have connected and where and let you know. thanks again
  20. Souns like a lazy pump or some tube has a hole in it. Mine does the same and the guy who fitted the alarm says it is quite easy to fix. If only I could get my door car off. Is it the same as MKII Golf doorcards? Screws around edge, remove inner handle cover and remove 2 screws there, slide plactic bit to right on little handle and off it comes? Also remove the door pin?
  21. And hopefully meeting up with me and Joe M at the Bothwell service station on the M74.
  22. Henny, just swapped the connections and it was like you said, off colour (black) wire running to sender and blue and black wire nearby. Not had her out a run yet though so I'll keep you posted on temps from now. Is the temp reading in the MFA like that of the MKII Golf GTi in that it only starts to register temps at about 50 deg? While I was in there I noticed 2 things: 1) there is a green and black wire not connected to anything coming out of the same part of the loom as the blue and black one. Should I be worried? 2) On the right hand side (as you are looking into the engine bay) there is a flat and wide piece of cable going from the bonnet hinge to the engine bay. I assume this is an earth for the bonnet. Problem is that is has either been cut or has worn through to the point where it no longer serves it's purpose. If it is indeed an earth, I am worried!!! Thanks for your help and hopefully this will sort my problem. If not, it's back to the drawing board.
  23. Thanks G60, I've heard of people fitting mocal oil coolers but not sure how easy/expensive it is. Darren at PD motorsport has fitted some oil cooler (i think) and has cut a hole in his front bumper to accommodate this and relocated his front no. plate (i think). Not sure if I want to change how the front of the C looks anymore than it has (although if I had to fit and oil cooler I'd mabye fit a RS bumper and put it behind the gap in the middle). How long before you can give it some then? Seems like you have been bedding the charger in for ages now.
  24. Hi guys, sorry I've not be on all weekend but I was away to Milton Keynes to see EMINEM. Thanks for your input it's given me lots to consider. sc16v The oil was magnatec which I bought myself and is the manufacturers recommended viscosity. Water temps are generally 80-90 ish when this happens and the fan does still work. Dosen't seem to be using any coolant and it doesn't heat up all that quickly (about 10 min when warming up). Henny Temps about 80-90 ish and the light flashes. Will have a look today at the engine bay and try to reconnect the mfa temp wires. If this does not help and I replace the thermostst and it still won't work, how much will it cost me to get a new oil pump and fit it? Hope it's the vdo that is buggered! Thanks again guys, I'll keep you posted 8)
