  1. Is the 997 turbo out yet??? I saw an 06 registered Turbo yesterday that looked slightly different to the 996 but I didn't think it had been released yet. It still looked absolutely gorgeous though!!!
  2. H R Owen in Hatfield had at least 5 in stock last time I went past - all up with price tags so not pre-ordered.
  3. I'm not work shy..................oh wait, yes I am
  4. I thought that - and if he's been on the dub scene for four years then how come he's only ever notched up two posts on a forum??? (Jealous)
  5. Time for another Corrado feature then?? :)
  6. Awesome car, I didn't think it would take long to sell, although I still can't beleive it's been sold..... Still, looking forward to seeing the new project. Best get rid of that signature now Jay :D
  7. Hi guys, just thought i'd add my two penneth worth in here to try and really throw you off the scent. When I got my 92 VR the ABS light was doing some funny things staying on, flashing, on and off intermittently. Took it to the garage and VAGCOM threw up a dead sensor so thinking all was fine I drove off........ Only for the ABS light to come on and STAY ON for the whole drive home!! This carried on for some weeks so I decided to have a look myself and in the end I took the ABS rings off from inside of the rear discs (bit of a bitch to do!!) gave them a good clean up and re-fitted them. ABS light now comes on at startup and then goes off and stays off!! WooooHooooo, but.........just my thoughts and personal experiences. Your's may well be different. Give it a go and good luck boys
  8. NB - For a good temporary measure when it is pissing down with rain.......................................... Hubba Bubba, in fact I think there's still a bit under mine!!!!!
  9. Having seen it and more importantly been in it, I can vouch for the fact that this is truly a very special car. The quality of workmanship put into it is absolutely top class and more to the point......evertything works!!! Plus it grips like no other FWD car i've been in so....... if I had it Jay, i'd offer you £10k min. Don't let go of her if you don't have to mate :D
  10. I've cut mine off - just give it a good clean afterwards and it looks so much neater.
  11. We did try that - getting them in a vice was a kind of last resort to get any movement as we had no spares and I had to get the car back home that night. The lump hammer was tool of choice before that!!!
  12. In addition to my last post - me and Jay actually snapped a vice (virtually in half!!!) trying to get some movement out of the seized pistons in the rear calipers. In 25 years I have never seen a vice break like it. Thise rear brakes really are a f**ker aren't they!!
  13. Same happened to mine as well trigger. Renshaw managed to get them off although i'm not sure what he used - added with a lot of brute force :bad-words: Obviously it needed new hex bolts afterwards
  14. Got any plans for it???? Other than a visit to beachy head
  15. It certainly looks straight enough to me in the photo but you never know until you've actually seen them in the flesh. If it had a fsh and a clear history through HPI then there's certainly value at that money. I personally would prefer going for something owned by an enthusiast but as I say, that's just my preference. If you're planning on modding it then that looks a perfect canvas to start on.
  16. I would have seriously considered it at that price - 52k less than mine and two years younger!! The bit that really made me look was the description of 'immaculate' I've always liked the Blackberry ones as well :) Herisites - you could buy your corrado from volkscars..... but then you'd only have one arm and one leg left to drive it with!!!
  17. As Jay said above - there are some absolute steals in local papers with people not realising what they could get for them. Just last week there was a 94 Blackberry VR6 with 99k and fsh, described as 'immaculate' for £2200 ono in our local paper!!!!!!! I gave them a call but guess what...... It had already been sold :( Probably turn up on here in a few weeks time......
  18. My dad had a problem like this on his mk3 cabriolet. Does the car fire and then die or just not fire at all?? We tried absolutely everything on his (he had a clifford alarm/immob on his) and then someone sugessted replacing the 'fuel sender' Apparently - a piece of wire that senses the key in the ignition and sends fuel to be burnt! Noy sure if this was on the early VRs as his is a 96/N Avantgarde but maybe worth a try??
  19. Perfect for those who just can't make up their mind!!!
  20. Assuming these things don't change hands very often, what kind of premium are you looking at to own one?? Would they be ridiculous money?? And are there only six worldwide or six in the uk??
  21. My VR6 has got the old interior - different clocks and heater?? I've always wanted to ask about that - also, are the monte carlo alloys the same as were on the mk3 16v?? five spokes?? Mine was registered very early august '92. When were they first put on sale?
  22. I'll stick my two penneth in here... My missus has just flogged her punto in which she had done nearly 100k in 5 years. Before she met me she had NEVER had it serviced (typical bird) so it had it's first service/oil change at 43k!!! In the remaining 55k miles it needed wishbone bushes brake pads/discs/fluid back box You can't really complain at that!!! poorly maintained and it still carried on going. The price when she bought it £4,495!!!
